Rennes-le-Chateau and Codex Bezae   Message List
Reply Message #311 of 7022 |

For fun I was surfing the net a bit to read the fascinating accounts on
the Rennes-le-Chateau hoax (definitely worth reading for those
interested in mystery stories). You know it probably from the Da-Vinci
Code.
In doing this I came across one of the allegedly found MSS and it reads
in Latin Lk 6:1-4.

The conspiratists made A LOT out of the differences of the actual text
and the Vulgate:

Curious as I am I looked it up and found it to be the text of Codex
Bezae!!!

Is this news?

Best wishes
Wieland
