Greeting, and ni-hao! This is your local captain of the Tennessee Valley
Browncoats, speaking here.
Keeping with the short and sweet of things, I am writing you today to invite you
to being Brown. There are many legends of being Brown, but if you'h plan to sit
around and do nothing, You're not one of `em. Being Brown is tougher than being
Green, You're called to do more, be more, and sometimes you feel like you're out
in the black. Here with the TVB, you're never around, unless you wanna be (in
case, we have the airlock). Everyone who's on board won't be seeing each other
every day, but we will know that we're there, fighting against whatever wrongs
been done. So pick a side, there are three: the Browncoats, the Alliance, and
`em that just let it all happen without changing a thin`.
Next weekend October 2-4, there is a thing called GMX (Geek Media Expo), that us
Browncoats have been invited to. Apparently, we having a small shindig Friday,
in one of them fancy suites there at the hotel, and then Saturday at 7pm, we're
hosting a panel on the fandom "Firefly/ Serenity", where we'll be talking about
the movies coming out, the comic books coming out, and discussing the future of
our part of the `verse. And then at 9pm, part of the group is doing something
called the "Dr Horrible Sing Along Blong", whatever that is. And to top it off,
then will be to moderated discussion groups on Sunday, one at 1pm about Dr
Horrible, and the possibility of Internet marketing, and another at 4pm, about
Buffy, and her fandom. So, all in all, Joss will be celebrated all weekend long.
There are many other events planned for the future, and hopefully Mr. Universe,
or his robot gal friend, will help us in communicating them to you. And you wish
to stop the signal, just email back, and in the top line say "STOP" and I reckon
we'll oblige. Look forward to seeing ya'll soon, and hearing from you sooner.
