Established in 1983, the Tennessee Preservation Trust (TPT) is a membership-based, non-profit organization headquartered in Nashville. TPT fosters public awareness of Tennessee's historical, cultural, architectural and environmental heritage. Annual events include the Statewide Preservation Conference in the spring, the "Ten in Tennessee" Most Endangered List announced each May, and the Statewide Preservation Awards presented in the fall. In 2005, TPT became Tennessee's official Statewide Partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC.
