Mission Statement
The purpose of Teche Area Home Educators, (TAHE) is to provide support and activities for home schooling families in Southern Louisiana. We aim to create a vibrant home school community and to increase positive awareness about home education in our community. Our goal is to offer activities and support to homeschooling families; therefore we are not a service; we are a support group. As an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, we need each member to participate and give in any capacity they can, in order to be a successful support group. We offer a variety of different opportunities to our members and do not expect participation by everyone in every activity.

We charge a nominal fee of $15 per family, per year, to cover expenses to run and maintain our group as a non-profit, organization. All excess money collected will be used on a group activity, or as the group sees fit.

Once you click join, you will need to wait to be accepted by the Group Moderators, (our way of keeping our personal information secure.) The group moderators will e-mail you the necessary forms to fill out, and return. Once we have received your enrollment forms, and dues, you will be accepted, and allowed into the online part of the group. Once accepted, PLEASE fill in your personal information in the Database section, under Group Members, so we can get to know you, and keep track of everyone. Have a Great Homeschool Day!
