Guys/Gals,

Time to get the Victoria's ready for another Region 5 Points Regatta. Mitch
Martin will be hosting the Round Rock Regatta at a new Venue in Auistin on
August 15th. A one day event on Saturday to make it easy on everyone. Let get
teh Pirates together and make a Team Trip of it. Mitch has already posted the
NOR with directions to the new Venue and the Registration Form. He's just asking
for all of us to get the form back top him ASAP and hold onto your money till
race day. So let's get those forms in so he can plan his lunches!!!!!

Victoria Nationals has been announced for 2009 in Rahlieh, NC on the first
weekend in November. They've already made the statement to Brian that it won't
be a San Antonio Nationals, but will do the best they can.(We need to take that
as a compliment!) They are a Victoria and EC12 Club and are looking forward to
hosting this event. I plan to go and hope to take some Pirates with me to the
East coast! Let's talk about it!

The Region 5 IOM Championships will be in Dallas this year on October 31st
and Nov. 1st. The Dallas group is considering trying a new venue also up on
White Rock. This decision will be coming very soon as they also have been
awarded the 2010 IOM Nationals which could possibly bring too many boats for
current Venue. It's always fun going to new Venues. Stay tuned for more info
from them very soon!

But getting to our own very close upcoming events....how about this coming
Sunday (19th) for our Sunfish racing/sailing day. I have had some interest from
the outside since we have been on Craigslist now weekely. Let's hope they show
up. But for us let's get everyone out for a day of Sunfish sailing. Plan on it
Dave, Terry, Vickie, Tony, JK.....who else?
