Hi.
(1) insurance - I am with ebike, thats c.£150 inc. legal cover + £50 unlimited
European Breakdown, £250 excess but helmet/leathers would be extra, claimed in
2007 & they were pretty good
(2) Its never too soon for a curry. Team PFB Ireland trip video - I could do
either Thu 15th March or Thu 22nd March

HTH,
Bill

Broon, Today renewed with Motorcycle Direct. Premium is 123.63 fully comp. but for 2000 miles per year. No extras. Theft excess is 300. Never claimed as I am not an arse.

Any comments (especially from those who have had to claim) of any others worth considering ?
Reckon it will be around £150 with £250-£300 compulsory excess and legal cover.

2) Pete and Mark have completed the Team PFB Ireland trip video and it is ready for team viewing.
Appreciate that it wasn't very long ago that we had our last curry however wondered if anyone was up for a trip up to Andover for a curry and viewing ?
Thoughts on Thu 15th March or Thu 22nd March ?

Broon & All,

1. I'm with Carole Nash on the Lifeboat £136.00 for comp incl overseas
breakdown.

2. The Ireland trip video is complete and I have an avi file. However, I'm
having some problems in actually burning the image disc (for DVD) with menu
etc. I now have the right software, but a glitch with Windows is preventing me
from installing it! Over the weekend I plan to reload Windows and resolve this
issue once and for all.

I therefore propose we don't name a date for viewing until I've sorted my
computer and burned all the discs for you.

Cheers,
Pete

Gents,

OK the I've re-formatted the hard drive and my computer's playing ball again.
Mark's been busy over the weekend burning a pile of discs, so we're all ready
for a public screening of "Sundae Bloody Sundae".

Afterwards, we can have a curry at our usual Andover haunt - the Raj Brasserie.

I was going to propose Friday the 30th of March. Gord - if you can make it,
there's a bed for you here.

Hope you can make it (especially those who did the trip!) - if not let's have
some alternative dates.

Regards,
Pete

Not sure what the uptake will be given last one was not that long ago but so far if dates are OK the Bill, myself, Col and Chris are up for it.

If Gord can make it on Fri 30th I will go with that, if not how about Tue 27th ?

ps Went with Hastings in the end at £129.40 fully comp with total of £250 excess.

Pete, and all..

This sounds like an evening not to be missed. But, unfortunately, it will be a few weeks before my finances would cover a trip south.

It is probably best to plan a date which suits the rest of the team..

Best Regards,

to go for a time & date we can all make

Pete unfortunately I too cannot do 30th - I have the rare honour of visiting the Supreme Court that day and will be treating Mrs C to dinner in London Town afterwards.

Looking forward to seeking the video though.

Pete,

We've established that not many people could make the 30th ... Fridays are always a bit tricky.

I would suggest Tue 27th March and accept it won't be a full turnout but hopefully at least 5 of us.

Cheers

Gents,

OK shall I go ahead and book the Raj for Tuesday 27th then?

I'm off on a mini-cruise with Dad for the weekend, but I'll be back Sunday
evening. Just let me know numbers by then, and I'll sort it out.

Suggest meet at 4 Winton Chase at 7.30pm if that's OK with the rest of you.

No, thats not meant to be a description of my riding style.

I am thinking about having some training in slow riding and a colleague
recommended this gent - he's an ex-bobby who used to train police motorcyclists
for a living. Bio below - he seems to be an interestiing chap.
http://www.alecgore.com/

Anyway, cost for a three hour session is £60 but he can accomodate up to 4
riders per session, which if 4 of us were interested, would make it £15 a throw.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll make the arrangements. If not then I
can probably attend the next SAM/ROSPA session FOC in any case, but that would
certainly be after the trip and with a lot more people.

ATB,
Bill

All, I will be looking into getting some Ts or Sweats made with
appropriate Team PFB logo-ture. This follows the highly successful
1994 Team PFB World Tour clothing range which I previously released.

Who would be interested in acquiring one of the most sort after pieces
of clothing of the year ? Don't know pricing yet.

Any thoughts on a logo are gratefully accepted otherwise we will go
with the "classic" leaning motocyclist (if I can find it) or the
attached are some other suggestions which may seem appropriate

Ant,

Yes I think I'd be interested in a Team PFB tee-shirt. Will you be extending
your designer range like Harley Davidson - I'm thinking about leather panniers,
casual wear and maybe an aftershave? Possibly "Team PFB" superimposed onto a
subtle "spunking cock" motif?

I think it is time to consider moving away from Yahoo groups and onto
Facebook. Anyone else think this is an idea? I use FB more and I think
it is easier to share stuff on it.

I have created a group (to reserve the name) and will add folks if you want.

If we are going to continue to use the yahoogroup then I will close
down FB. I don't think we can have both.

As a firm non-user of Yahoo groups who has for many years resisted the call to join I am glad you now all see it my way!!!

FB is the way to go - we can all be friends!

What’s facebook and do I need an iPad 4S to run it ?         I guess I can get Mrs Wood to explain.   Must go, about time I topped up the 2 stroke oil on the MZ.   Cheers, Chris.

There has no been much response to the call for support on the TShirt front, so at the moment I am not doing anything.
