Questioner:  You wrote, "A movie projector/theater analogy may be helpful here. In the projector room, inside the projector, is this glowing, brilliant, radiant light. That's a great metaphor for the Holy Spirit. That brilliant light seems to pass through the film, which is filled with a lot of dark images..."

When one cleans up the film, the projector only projects light... Correct? In that scenario, it would seem that form ceases to exist. According to what I am reading, the perception of form, any form at all, is an illusion, a dreamlike state that is not real. What happens to form during this cleaning up process? Does the world become more and more beautiful, or less positively/negatively charged, or what? I understand the shift from hearing another person's attack to hearing a cry for love. It's becoming a bit easier for me to hear that cry for love. Is this whole healing process a progression toward being in a pure energy state? Thanks

Your intuitive discernments are right on. Your desire for Truth is drawing It forth in awareness.

The 6 stages in the Development of Trust section of the ACIM Manual for Teachers are a good description of what seems to occur during the "cleaning up process." The perception of form seems to undergo changes in consciousness as the illusory "process" is experienced in awareness. This process may be described as the relinquishment of judgment, and the world indeed seems to become more and more beautiful as it is viewed without judgment.

As you discern in your question, the relinquishment of judgment is the release of the entire spectrum of judgment (the positive through the negative). Complete forgiveness (the Atonement) is a State of mind which reflects Abstract Divine Mind. Divine Mind, Mind Awake, is the One Pure Energy State that is Reality. The forgiven world reflects Eternity for a moment and then disappears. This is the meaning of "God will take the final step."

Godis Eternal and creates the Eternal. God's Creation has no beginning orend or steps or levels, Being Pure Oneness. Forgiveness, the lastillusion, represents a consciousness so cleared of judgment that it isready to behold the Truth of Divine Love. Judgment is not an abilitywhich God creates, for Christ remains forever as Pure Oneness in God.It is not that one "ceases" judging, as if judgment had really happenedbefore but has now stopped. Forgiveness sees illusions as one andtherefore shows that judgment is forever IMPOSSIBLE since there isnothing to judge "between."

Forgiveness is a Perspective of Meaning, for the Perspective is that of the Holy Spirit. As you share this Perspective, you share the Meaning of the Holy Spirit -- the reminder that "I am as God created Me." The world beheld in this Perspective is indeed beautiful, for in God's Peace it is apparent "All things work together for good." In this Perspective time is simultaneous and there are no separate images and events. It is happily impossible to sequence or arrange or order or judge that which is one. This momentary Perspective is the Peace that passeth the understanding of the world.

Glory and joy to the mind emptied of concepts. Love cannot be described or explained -- only Experienced. Yield to the Experience. There is nothing else.

Speaker: You just have to see that the movie…

Participant 2: You are making it up.

Speaker: Well, it's already made up and is the film is in the projector. The Holy Spirit interprets.

Participant 2: Let's get back to that a minute, the movie and the projector.

Speaker: There is an interpretation in your mind, of the script. The script is done, but now there are two possible interpretations of it. This is what I have been saying. Try not to interpret the forms. There will still seem to be bodies doing things to other bodies in a relative sense and not being helpful. Only because the mind does not know what is going on and so there is seems to be all kinds of crazy things going on. But the healed mind does not interpret those. Its sees only love or a call for love, it's that simple.

But if I am not seeing a call for love, and I know when I am not by how I feel. If I am not in love then that means that I am in competition with God. Because his will for me is to be in love all the time. I am putting meaning where there is none. It doesn't matter what is happening. That is the simplicity of salvation, it's just a thought in your mind. You see? And that is the cause.

Your mind is causative and it is pouring into a mad idea, a distorted belief. And in order to keep that belief `real' it splits cause off now. And instead of it being cause, now outside of it is cause. But if forgets it and disassociates from it, and remembers it not. The dreaming of the world… `I didn't dream that. I didn't make that up even.' It is horrifying. It looks out then and, whoa.

A lot of people that I worked with, they talked about the war in Iraq. I would ask them, "How do you feel now?" and they would say, "I'm upset." And I would tell them that they are at war and they would be shocked. It's right now. We can't heal if we divide these things, if we give cause away. We have to see it in a whole way. That is a perspective of A Course in Miracles, a right-minded perspective. It is whole, innocent and all inclusive. It is simple and not complex. You see that choosing the right-mind is choosing to see cause in its right place. And then there is an experience that will come within you.

You still might see all the headlines on the newspapers but your mind will interpret it as unreal in the sense that it has nothing to do with God or I, as Christ. This dream is a dream of images and has nothing to do with me. And if I think it does, then I am confused in who I am. I have an identity problem, an authority problem. It's that simple. This Course is very simple.

Participant 4: Once you get it!

Speaker: It's just that when we start, we are talking to a mind that is addicted to complexity so it seems to be exasperating.

So looking at this chart [referring to the projector chart]… the mind, once it believed it split – the first split introduced was consciousness – and then the mind became a perceiver rather than a creator. So, it's a perceiver now. And you could say that the projector was representative of the mind as a perceiver, the activating agent. It perceives a screen, which is one image. But the mind has given over its creative ability to perception and in order to hide from that, the mind must identify with a body to make this body a subject and another an object.

The mind is still back here [pointing to projector] and cause is back here but it makes these images [on the screen], which are an effect [of the belief in separation]. It forgets cause and now it seems to be in a body around other bodies and now those images are cause instead of cause being here [pointing to projector]. So, what Jesus is saying is that you need to pay attention to how you feel because your mind's energy… this is all your minds energy [pointing to the light rays]. This is the light of God that is being poured into a mad idea.

Participant 3: And you could say that this mad idea is this film.

Speaker: And what Jesus says is that in order for you to transcend this mad idea, you need to have a happy dream. The mad idea is horrifying dream. It is terrifying. You need to have a happy one. What is saying is that in order to get back to your right-mind, you need to see cause in it's rightful place and that means choosing forgiveness… choosing to see cause in its rightful place. That is forgiveness. Choosing to reverse effect and cause. Seeing cause and effect as simultaneous.

I believed in separation… that was a simultaneous thought. But it seemed to be sprung out in time now. And there seems to be a little time between you and I, a little space between you and , a little gap. That time might be the time I take to forgive, you… just a little time. You see, the little gap is always going on in the mind. And what Jesus is saying is that we can choose a new interpretation of this dream, of this mad idea. It has been given to us, it's the Holy Spirit. He will enter our mind and now he will look upon all the images and see it as one. But we can't do that if we don't see cause in it's rightful place. If I think that these images are causative, these bodies are causative… or people, places and events. A lot gets projected on governments, IRS or whatever. The authority problem  is [the] desire to be cause.  You see the metaphysics.  I desire to be author to myself.   [But, only true] Cause is author of Effect.  Now I desire to be the author of myself and make up an identity.  I am a person on the screen, there is another person, and there are differences between us. More and more authorships, but there are no differences in Oneness and Knowledge. It's all one.

Participant 3: And they may seem to be a cause to me and I may seem to be a cause to them.

Speaker: And all of this is perceptual and all perception is effect, effect of an unreal idea.

Participant 2: It's so big and yet it can be changed in a second.

transcribed talk that took place with Jeffrey and I and a group of
very devoted ACIM students in Florida around two years ago.  It was a
glorious joining and the recording taken during this final day of this
week long retreat reflects very well the insights gained during our
time together.  I am happy to be able to share it with you here now.

Speaker: How is everyone?

Participant 1: I had such an incredible "aha" moment. When I went home
yesterday, I started reading… so much was read yesterday. Some of it
went over my head, some of it I was tuning in to, some of it I wasn't.
I lit my fireplace and I was sitting there reading and I started
reading on page 25 about the use of the body and a light went off and
I equated that it's a tool of communication. Period. So I thought
about what a cell phone is for. What if I used it to start hammering a
nail or stirring my soup? And it's like using it totally what it's not
used for. What if I put makeup on it… using it totally what it is not
for, and I got that. Then I did my meditation and it was so powerful.

Speaker: Yes, that's it. That's the experience that the metaphysics
are bringing you into. It's bringing you into that recognition. I've
looked at it like a pencil. If you use a pencil which seems to be for
writing and communicating, and you use it to open up a door – it will
crack. That is it. It's ridiculous to try to pry a door open with a
pencil. Same thing with a phone, putting makeup on it. You start
laughing because that is ridiculous. And that is what Jesus is asking
us to do. You have to start laughing at the purpose that you give the
world and starting with your body. You give your body all this false
meaning and false purposes. You use it for pride, pleasure and attack.

Participant 1: And as I read on it talked about the goals. What are
our goals when you look at power, prestige, money, physical pleasure…
those are all for the body. What's the body for? To gain all these
things? No. So all the goals are directed for a wrong purpose, for the
body.

Speaker: And we can look at what that entails. If I choose to use the
body for those purposes then I will have an experience in time and
space that is temporary. I will shift and change. And that is the
consequence of that. I will have a temporary experience of whatever I
am seeking. I will seem to have it and seem to lose it. But if my
purpose is for God and God is now, it's already been given and is
without end, then the consequence would be love always. So, all I need
to do is seek for the falsity that blocks that simplicity. That's it.

Participant 1: That's what I got. All those goals are spinning,
spinning, spinning.

Speaker: That's why I have said from the beginning that this workshop…
if you really utilize all this information then you will not need to
go off and do a bunch of other workshops, because this is it… this is
the tool, emptying your mind of false content, of complexity and the
ego. You learn to look at the ego and you learn to become simple
minded. You will begin to forget the world, the specifics and
complexities of the world. And to the world that is backwards, it
seems dull and stupid.

Participant 1: I had a hard time getting here today.

Speaker: That is what you realize when you really start looking at
your mind, "Where am I?" That is a good thought to have. Just let it
go because there is an assumption behind it that "I am somewhere". But
it is going in the right direction.

Participant 1: I have another question. "The second obstacle that
peace must flow across, and closely related to the first, is the
belief that the body is valuable for what it offers. For here is the
attraction of guilt made manifest in the body, and seen in it." I
didn't really understand that.

Speaker: Well, you think that the body has value in it's autonomy.
It's autonomous and the value of freedom in the body, the value of
collecting the things that you think you need. So you can say that the
idea of using the body to be a spiritual self is an attraction to
guilt… to become a spiritual person, to use it to get something, the
"getting mechanism". The getting mechanism, the split mind – the
unhealed mind – the sleepy mind – the deceived mind – thinks that
salvation is outside of itself and Jesus calls the core of that mind
the "getting mechanism". It thinks that it is a subject [body] and
then there is an object. And then what it needs, which is based in
lack, is outside of it and it needs to get it. It hears the call to
awaken and distorts it. It is no different than the addict with its
drugs; crack, cocaine, marijuana, alcohol, whatever it is. The mind
hears the call, interprets it and then uses the body as a means to get
what it thinks it needs and that is all based on the attraction to guilt.

Participant 1: The attraction to guilt, maybe that's what I really
didn't get.

Speaker: The attraction to guilt is the same as the attraction to
pain. The lack is in the mind but the mind thinks that it is a person
now. And it thinks to get that healed, to save itself, that now there
is something outside of itself that can heal that pain that is in the
mind. But what happens is the mind perpetuates the pain by seeking. So
that is the attraction to pain. Pain and guilt are one in the same. If
you have pain then you have guilt in your mind, they are the same.

Participant 2: Pain in the mind.

Speaker: Yes, but pain and guilt is the same. Fear, guilt, however it
seems to arise… it is all fear but guilt is pain. It is all one. It is
not love. It is the attraction to fear, the attraction to guilt that
is perpetuated by the belief in the body. The body is there to
perpetuate guilt. Remember what we were getting at yesterday… and you
spoke it well when you understood it… that it is intolerable back
there in the mind… and that is the beginning so to speak… and it is so
intolerable that the mind starts making these concepts and hiding. And
that is the guilt, the guilt is intolerable, the pain is. It just
looks outwardly…

Participant 2: To blame someone else.

Speaker: The blame is just all a part of perpetuating guilt. So if you
are blaming, if you are upset it is guilt arising in consciousness and
that is what we have been getting at here. It's all in your mind and
the forms are neutral. It just gets reflected back. The forms have
already been forgiven, the Holy Spirit did that and that is what you
are learning to accept. But your mind is confused now in cause and
effect and it's giving the dreaming of the world….you dreamed it,
which is false cause (or we can also call this an unreal effect)… you
dreamed that and gave it away and you keep what? The body, the "Hero"
of the dream. You keep it, it's serial adventures of pain and
suffering. And the part that can be acted on, you kept – the "face of
innocence". Ohhh! And it looks out sometimes and it goes, "Oh, those
poor people out there, weak innocent people." And really you believe
that they are losing their innocence and that is why you believe that
innocence is changing…"I've still got mine but they are losing theirs".

[laughter]

And that is the core of the ego which is what I am getting at here. We
have to learn to look at that part of our mind. That is not who we are
but it is who we think we are and that is pain. The pain comes from
not looking at that. So all the distractions, delays and resistance is
the denial of seeking that directly. The pain is a consequence of not
looking. That is it, just not being direct.

Participant 2: So anytime that we see guilt or suffering or anything
out there, it's all a part of consciousness.

Speaker: It's a part of my interpretation of the consciousness.

Participant 2: It isn't real. It is not real at all. That person that
we see, like the homeless guy on the street.

Speaker: Well, it's good to pay attention to how you feel. This is
where the mind-training comes in. You walk by and you pay attention to
your thoughts arising. Let them arise because the ego will want to
make something out of what it sees. So, you as a miracle-worker, you
start to watch and then you watch the movement of thought come in….
"Oh, look at that poor guy. Look how dirty he is." Watch the repulsion
or whatever. And then all the false empathy and all the projection, "I
wouldn't be able to live like that. He didn't take a shower… how could
he have a nice day without a shower?" You see? On and on… all these
thoughts.

Participant 3: Or maybe I wonder what he did wrong to get to that place.

Speaker: Right, "What did he do wrong?"

Participant 2: Lots of decisions he made to get there.

Speaker: Right and that is just all a projection and what the Course
is saying is that right now is love and if you see a world that is not
a reflection of love then you are not in your right mind. You are not
viewing consciousness rightly. That doesn't mean that there is no war
but you no longer divide or think you know what those things mean.

So, let's take a look at this: homeless. Let's look at that idea. What
does it mean? Who is homeless? Perceive it, you believe it. Now, I
think I now what "homeless" is.

Participant 3: Do I know what a "home" is?

Speaker: Do I have a concept of what a home is? What is a home? If the
present moment, which is the closest approximation to eternity that
the perceptual realm offers is my home – and that's the truth which is
without end….

Participant 3: Or you can associate it with an idea of four walls
where you put your body and all of your things…

Speaker: And if I believe that it's in that construct, then I will
experience not being at home… and not being in my home but wanting to
be at home. You see that?

Participant 1: You know I travel so much that wherever I go, I feel
like that is my home. When I am in the hotel room, this is my home.

Speaker: Exactly, and that is the acceptance of `what is' in the
moment. It's the conceptual ideas in our minds that give us the
experience in consciousness of something other than what it is right now.

Participant 2: If I was in my right mind and I passed a homeless
person, what would go on in my head?

Speaker: I don't know. Let's try not to get into hypotheticals. There
is no answer to that question. I don't know what would go in in your
head, all I can tell you is to pay attention to how you feel about
what seems to be arising in consciousness and what you feel will
arise… you just have to watch it.

Participant 2: And so everything that comes up needs to be dealt with,
everything.

Beloved One,

Thanks to everyOne for sharing our Purpose of forgiveness! The
Purpose is out in front, Guiding us in everything we share and extend.
Thanks be to Jesus and the Holy Spirit for Guiding us all ceaselessly.
Our sameness in and as the Christ is evident, and seeming differences
have faded and grown dim and disappeared. Peace of mind is our one
goal, and with Your Strength we cannot fail to live and extend the
Love of God.

Thank You Holy Spirit for the Purpose that unites our perception.
Though the faces come and go and the names seem to change and the
appearances never last, Thou art with us always. A friend is a friend
forever if the Lord is the Lord of friends, and a friend will not say
never because the welcome will not end. We are friendly in attitude
because of the Friend that lives in our hearts.

I am so grateful for all the loving friends I know so deeply in my
life. We have walked this path together, you and I, and we need not
look back to feel the Purpose that unites us Now. The past is over
and gone, and the blessed Present Moment is our rebirth in the
Innocence of Christ. The Lord's prayer says: Forgive us our debts as
we forgive our debtors. In our shared Purpose it is obvious that our
perceived debts have been canceled and are forever gone. Enjoy the
fresh, bright, new, untouched, pristine Glow of our Innocence, shining
forever true and waiting only for acceptance. This is the final
lesson in the ACIM Workbook: "This holy instant I would give to you.
Be You in Charge. For I would follow You, certain that your direction
gives me peace."

So Now we say a prayer together in our hearts, a prayer that radiates
to everyOne: Lord, thank You for my life in You. Whatever I seemed
to make of this world had no cause and no effect in Reality. I am
happy to say now: Holy Spirit decide for God for me, for there is
nothing I would "keep" apart from God. What else could I ask for when
my Life in God is Everything? Help me O Lord to remember the Present
Moment and release any scrap of the past or the future, for what time
but Now can Truth be known? Now is the only time there is. Amen.

As for the seeming "year" of 2008, I echo the words of Jesus in ACIM:
"Make this year different by making it the same." This is another way
of saying: "I place the future in the hands of God."

I look with delight to meeting many of you on my travels and here at
the PeaceHouse. Though the travels are no longer continuous, I
appreciate your kind invitations and leave these and all matters to
the Holy Spirit. I am happily enjoying the visitors and the calls,
and joyfully resting in the peace of the Present Moment.

Holy Spirit tells me that there are lots of holy encounters on the 4
continents (North America, South America, Europe, & Australia (South
pacific) that are waiting for me, and I give a BIG thanks! See you

Blessings of Peace.  My travels and holy encounters and gatherings
here in Martinez and all around the huge city of Buenos Aires are
truly a great adventure in experiencing the Flow!  Patricia Jacobs and
her household have embraced me with total love and appreciation and
gratitude, and then Patricia sits behind me at the gatherings and
translates what the people in the groups are saying from Spanish to
English.  Patricia works at a language school in downtown Buenos Aires
(the same school where she met Maria Christina when they were about 15
years old), and Patricia and Maria re-met over 30 years later at one
of my gatherings here in Argentina.  Maria sits by my side and
translates everything that pours through from the Holy Spirit into
Spanish for the people in the group.  This highly efficient and
Flowing translation from these 2 former classmates and current
neighbors here in Martinez is a perfect example of the Holy Spirit´s
orchestrated Flow.  The groups have filled the rooms in each
gathering, and yesterday we shared a morning and an evening session.
I have been Guided to give each host at each gathering a poster of
artwork and a saying from Un Curso De Milagros that my friend Camille
Borke made for me to bring to South America.  Thanks Camille, and
thanks to all the hosts who are graciously welcoming Patricia and
Maria and I into their meeting places.  It looks like we will have a
total of 15 gatherings in the 12 days that I am in the area, and Maria
had to find a bigger space for the all day gathering this coming Sunday.

On Saturday I am taking 2 original copies of the new UCDM mass market
edition (Spanish paperback Course In Miracles) to my friends Pat and
Val, and they will soon receive the first shipment from my friend
Alberto in Colombia.  Maria also wants to receive a shipment of the
books to distribute here in the northern part of this huge city of
over 15 million people.  I think that Buenos Aires and Mexico City
have the most Course In Miracles groups in the world, and there is a
tremendous opening of the heart and deep willingness to undo the ego
and accept the Atonement.  There is a strong sense of attentiveness
and respect and devotion at the groups, and people reflect the
sincerity that it takes to learn to forgive as instructed by the Holy
Spirit.  The veil of ego materialism that blocks out the awareness of
the Holy Spirit is definitely being lifted in an accelerated pace.
The heartfelt outpourings of gratitude, the sparkling eyes and hugs
and kisses, these abound at every gathering.  My friend Paola called
me yesterday and told me of the mystical experience of Light she had
embraced, in which everyone appeared as dolls in her awareness, and as
she saw that there was only Light and no persons in reality.  I
appreciate such passion and the devotion I see reflected everywhere!

Today is a day of rest and Silence for me, mixed with some phone/Skype
calls with Mighty Companions in the USA and an evening gathering
tonight.

Hi David,

I have a question for you about how you deal with things like healthy
diet and exercise.

I used to be very gung-ho about eating really healthy and exercising
daily, but in the last several months I've started to realize that I
was doing those things mostly out of fear that if I DIDN'T... it would
lead to health problems, gaining unwanted weight, etc.. Therefore, I
decided to just stop "should-ing" on myself, and just making my ONLY
priority to practice forgiveness. If I feel inspired to exercise or
eat a healthy meal, I do, but if I don't feel inspired, I just do
whatever I want. As a result, I've noticed that I've been eating in a
way that isn't as healthy as I used to be and not exercising as much,
and I've also been gaining a little weight.

So I'm sort of conflicted right now about this. It doesn't feel good
to "force" myself to do things that I don't feel like doing but that I
think I "should" do. I know that if I forced myself to start
exercising daily right now, it would be motivated primarily by fear.
But the thing is, I don't really have much fear left around the body.
I know that the body is not important except as a learning device, and
I trust that whatever happens with my body will be exactly what's
meant to happen ("the script is written") and that I need not worry
about it. But on the other hand, I still feel this nagging "should"
telling me that I should exercise and eat healthier.

Have you ever dealt with these issues? How would you recommend I look
at this?

Thanks for writing. Yes, the ego's 'shoulds' around diet and exercise
and health are some of its common tricks at maintaining guilt. It is
always helpful to remember that health is inner peace, and the Holy
Spirit sees the body as neutral. The focus on mind watching is most
important, no matter what the form of judgment seems to be.

The question about diet is another version of the prayer to step back
and let the Spirit lead the way. The curriculum is highly
individualized, so I cannot speak in broad generalities about diet. It
is most helpful with diet, as with all things, to be highly Intuitive
and thus very open to the Spirit's Guidance. You may use the prayer:
"Holy Spirit Guide my eating that I may be Fed by You." Truly it is
not what you eat that is most important on the spiritual journey, but
Who is Guiding the mind is All important. It is not what you put in
your mouth that defiles, but that which proceeds from an unhealed
heart. Likewise, the miracle brings healing far beyond what the ego
judges as "healthy food."

Healing always depends upon exposing and releasing the ego belief
system, for thus is distorted perception healed. Problems are never in
form, being always a belief in the deceived mind. The ego projected a
body and food and weight issues and fitness issues, etc., to distract
the mind from the Light within. In the reversal of thought the Holy
Spirit sponsors, the mind is empowered as the mechanism of Awakening.
As you learn to think with the Holy Spirit you will be truly healthy
and vibrant and joyful and energetic. This health comes from sharing
the Purpose of the Spirit, which is forgiveness.

The body is a symbol or representation, so when you feel well this is
a sign that you are following the Spirit. Let your feelings be a
barometer to the voice that you are following, and learn to trust the
Voice for God within the mind. Eat what you feel Guided to eat and
when you feel Guided to eat, and let this be a practice of the ACIM
Workbook lesson: I will step back and let Him lead the way. The ego
will attribute the feeling to form as it always does. Yet as you
deepen with the Spirit it becomes more obvious that health is a
decision of Purpose and the form is always just a backdrop or stage.
In Awakening it becomes apparent that there is nothing causative in
form, and this includes the body and food and exercise and the
environment. Every experience is a decision of the mind. With training
the mind is consistently miracle minded or right-minded, and this
state of mind is healthy. The happy dream is healthy indeed, and peace
of mind results from the Purpose & Perspecive of the Spirit. In
Quantum Physics terms, this is the Observer. In ACIM terms, this is
the Dreamer.

Digest the Spirit's Purpose and you will never hunger again. At some
point in my experience the concepts of diet and exercise and physical
health and fitness that were part of the David self concept just
seemed to fade and dissolve and disappear entirely.:) Keep the focus

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to announce that after many months of preparing audio and written material, that phase one of the Teacher of Teachers website is now online and waiting to be utilized.  I won't spend much time here describing it because it really speaks for itself.  However, I will copy and paste a few items directly from the site which gives an overview of it.

I did wanted to make a note of one thing which I feel is of importance for the site's users.  You can access the website by two different URLs (website addresses).  You may use http://www.teacherofteachers.net or http://www.miracleshome.org.  Either one will take you to the same place.  However, by using the miracleshome.org address, this should allow your browser to give you the title to each page and each audio at the top of your screen as you go through the materials.  I think this can be particularly helpful when you are listening to an audio track and wondering, "What's the name of this talk?"  If you are using miracleshome.org you will know.  Otherwise it will just say something like "Teacher of Teachers – A Course in Miracles Study Resource".  The domain name teacherofteachers.net forwards to miracleshome.org and for some reason it doesn't make the page titles available when you use that URL.

Now, I want to thank all of the volunteers that gave their time, devotion and love to this project.  It could not have happened any other way.  Even if you volunteered but I didn't have a project for you at the time, I still want to express my gratitude and to also let you know that I still have your email addresses and I haven't forgotten about you!  The fact that so many offered was deeply touching.

It has been a joy and an inspiration to work on this site and it brought so many people together to serve a purpose that is totally unknown to this world.  This website is given to the Sonship by the Sonship and I am honored and blessed  to have taken a role in its initiation.  This has been a profound experience of the idea in the Course that states, "the only true pleasure is doing God's Will".

About this website...

Teacher of Teachers refers to the Holy Spirit, which in A Course in Miracles terminology is also called the Voice for God and the Right-Mind. The intention of this website is to be as clearly aligned with the Holy Spirit, the one true Teacher, as possible and for the materials available here to be reflective of that perspective. On that note, we have felt guided to make this website as 'impersonal' as possible, or even 'anonymous' in the sense that the focus here is the content of the materials, the conveying of ideas, rather than on whomever the speaker or the writer seemed to be. This serves as a reminder that all true wisdom is of the Spirit rather than persons. It wasn't practical in all circumstances to eliminate every name mentioned - particularly in audio format - but this has been done in most cases with the written material.

A large quantity of the audio material on this website has never been made available before. Most of the audio material on this site had been archived in audiocassette format for many years, having been moved around from damp basements to hot attics, trunks of cars and finally office shelves. Much care has been put into the preservation of the sound quality of these materials but in some cases full restoration of the sound was not possible. We would encourage you to keep in mind that the material that is available here is available because of its content. Certain tracks may have spots where it is hard to hear but in most cases this lasts only briefly. Transcripts have been made for most tracks that were of lesser audio quality.

Like any other tool, this website is a beginning and not an end. What you will find here is a collection of ideas and no single idea in this world is wholly true. Only one thing is for certain, and that is; you will find what you are looking for because, as the Course says, the mind always gets what it wants. We would invite you to simply be open to the ideas here rather than immediately accepting or rejecting them. Thoroughly open your mind and inquire within and there will the Teacher be.

The format of this website is done in a way to make more efficient use of the growing quantity of materials and archives which have been accumulated over the years, allowing the user to explore a great number of the concepts and ideas in a simple format. Much more will be added to this website when it is available. It is now and may always be a work in progress. How to use this website...

We recommend that you start with the first item listed on the 'Laying the Framework' page and then continue in order to the last item before moving on to the next set. Don't forget the supplemental materials!

Teacher of Teachers is setup to start from the beginning. As Jesus says in ACIM, healing is done from the bottom up and not the top down. As said, most of the audio material on this website has never been made available before. Other materials have been made available and archived in various sources on the web and are now here to be utilized more efficiently. All materials have been organized and arranged to build upon each other. The focal points of this website are the audio recordings and the longer papers or transcripts. Supplemental material is added where appropriate. Links to the key metaphysical principles for the audio tracks will be added very soon.

The materials library is constructed of three parts:

The first is called Laying the Framework. It starts with some of the most basic (and fundamental) ideas that are presented in A Course in Miracles as well as some items about the Course itself. A lot of the first questions and issues that are raised by those who find the Course are answered here in one form or another. Some of the early metaphors of the Course are introduced and explored as well as some of the fundamental metaphysical ideas.

The second set of materials is called Unlearning the World. This section covers many concepts, particularly the middle and later metaphors used by the Course. This is the stage of learning where egoic assumptions, beliefs and distortions are brought more clearly into awareness. A solid understanding of the ACIM metaphysics is the key to moving into the final stage of learning to unlearn the world; the transfer of training.

The third set of materials is called The Transfer of Training. Knowing the ideas isn't enough to have the experience beyond the words; they must be lived and applied. The deepest teachings about the advanced ideas of cause and effect as well as the subject / object split and relationships are covered here as well as many other ideas. A solid understanding of the most advanced metaphors of ACIM combined with a willingness to transfer those ideas to one's life without exception has only one result; a clear mind and consistent happiness.

By giving you My Universal Curriculum I am merely holding up a mirror to point the way to the light of who You really are. I am not giving you this so one can make a new identity. You can take this truth or leave it. And many of you will leave it, for the obvious reason that you will not find gratification in My words. Therefore you will not support them, because you support what you value. Some of you will be tickled and love My words but you will be greatly confused and be teachers of ego. All are called but only a few will transfer My words fully in this generation. These words are for those who have the ears to hear.  Remember this from My book A Course in Miracles, "To learn this course requires willingness to question every value that you hold. Not one can be kept hidden and obscure but it will jeopardize your learning. No belief is neutral. Every one has the power to dictate each decision you make. For a decision is a conclusion based on everything that you believe. It is the outcome of belief, and follows it as surely as does suffering follow guilt and freedom sinlessness. There is no substitute for peace. What God creates has no alternative. The truth arises from what He knows. And your decisions come from your beliefs as certainly as all creation rose in His Mind because of what He knows." (T.24.IN.2.1)

Defending and making another wrong through an intellectual stance of a particular spiritual idea, or any idea denies My Curriculum. The whole aim of My Universal Curriculum is to see the present moment as it is, to see that all is perfect now, that there is nothing to be resolved, corrected or fixed. Remember this, "To the extent to which you value guilt, to that extent will you perceive a world in which attack is justified. To the extent to which you recognize that guilt is meaningless,to that extent you will perceive attack cannot be justified. This is in accord with perception's fundamental law: You see what you believe is there, and you believe it there because you want it there. Perception has no other law than this. The rest but stems from this, to hold it up and offer it support. This is perception's form, adapted to this world, of God's more basic law; that love creates itself, and nothing but itself."

There is no journey to God; there is only the timeless moment of Now! When one recognizes this truth, you will see that the separation has not occurred. Remember this, "The mind can make the belief in separation very real and very fearful, and this belief is the "devil". It is powerful, active, destructive and clearly in opposition to God, because it literally denies His Fatherhood. Look at your life and see what the devil has made. But realize that this making will surely dissolve in the light of truth, because its foundation is a lie…Nothing at all has happened but that you have put yourself to sleep, and dreamed a dream in which you were an alien to yourself, and but a part of someone else's dream. The miracle does not awaken you, but merely shows you who the dreamer is. It teaches you there is a choice of dreams while you are still asleep, depending on the purpose of your dreaming. Do you wish for dreams of healing, or for dreams of death? A dream is like a memory in that it pictures what you wanted shown to you."

I take no sides and I judge not the road you seem to travel. I perceive no separation, because I do not see what is not real. This is your calling, a calling into pure abstraction. But this is not what the world wants for spirituality or religion. This is too simple. Unless you believe <think> exactly as the world proclaims spirituality or religion to be, then you are wrong in its eyes. In the worlds eyes there are believers and the unbelievers. This is level confusion, confusing the form of My Universal Course (content) with its particular expression (form). It is important to know that God or Truth can be but known. The important thing to remember is that you are not on either side because there are no sides to truth!  There is only Oneness. How can there be sides in abstraction, in Oneness?  When we have abstraction, which is ones natural condition; then we have freedom because there is nothing to choose from. This is religion.

I want to make this clear: Nobody misleads anyone else. You are faithful to one or the other, the ego or Me. You make the choice. The most important idea to be clear on is the idea of `cause'.  The closest approximation to `cause' or creation that the perceptual realm offers is `choice'.  You are either choosing one thought system or another, fear or love, illusions or forgiveness and you cannot serve two masters.  Love or fear is the only options that are available in the perceptual realm. And one of them is an illusion and the other is real, which is choiceless abstraction. Remember this, "Whatever is true is eternal, and cannot change or be changed. Spirit is therefore unalterable because it is already perfect, but the mind can elect what it chooses to serve. The only limit put on its choice is that it cannot serve two masters. If it elects to do so, the mind can become the medium by which spirit creates along the line of its own creation. If it does not freely elect to do so, it retains its creative potential but places itself under tyrannous rather than Authoritative control. As a result it imprisons, because such are the dictates of tyrants. To change your mind means to place it at the disposal of true Authority."

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

The power of your mind lies in your interpretation, so the question is; where do you want to place the power of your mind? Who do you want to lead you? Do you prefer the world and its system of thought or the complete relinquishment of the worlds system? Remember this, "You hate the one you gave the leader's role when you would have it, and you hate as well his not assuming it at times you want to let the follower in you arise, and give away the role of leadership. And this is what you made your brother for, and learned to think that this his purpose is. Unless he serves it, he has not fulfilled the function that was given him by you. And thus he merits death, because he has no purpose and no usefulness to you…. Christ calls to all with equal tenderness, seeing no leaders and no followers, and hearing but one answer to them all. Because He hears one Voice,he cannot hear a different answer from the one He gave when God appointed Him His only Son."

Having a belief system, a set of conceptual thoughts that you regard as the absolute truth, does not make you spiritual or an authority no matter what the foundation of those beliefs are. And in fact the more you make your thoughts (beliefs) into your identity, the more you will be blocked from loves awareness. This is why it's important to undo and question all beliefs. God is beyond belief. Remember this, "Nor is belief in God a really meaningful concept, for God can be but known. Belief implies that unbelief is possible, but knowledge of God has no true opposite. Not to know God is to have no knowledge, and it is to this that all unforgiveness leads.And without knowledge one can have only belief…. All terms are potentially controversial, and those who seek controversy will find it….Theological considerations as such are necessarily controversial, since they depend on belief and can therefore be accepted or rejected. A universal theology is impossible, but a universal experience is not only possible but necessary. It is this experience toward which the course is directed. Here alone consistency becomes possible because here alone uncertainty end."
