This discussion group is specifically for teachers to use to exchange ideas regarding teaching work by Sherman Alexie.

A number of teachers have contacted Sherman Alexie over the years asking for help or support teaching his work, which is sometimes found controversial in schools. As we're not able to address these issues, we hope this discussion group will help connect teachers who want to discuss sharing his work in their classrooms.

The teaching_alexie group is unmoderated, but members are expected to treat each other with courtesy. The list cannot be used to send chain letters or other types of spam e-mail (including virus warnings, jokes and chain letters). Personal attacks and flames sent over the group listserv will not be tolerated. Sherman Alexie does not participate in this discussion group.
