Hi, my name is Lindsey, I'm from Texas and I'm interested in learning
some taxidermy. Can anyone point me to some good websites? I just got
a wild hair and thought this would be a really interesting hobby.
Thanks!
Lindsey
My husband has some flying squirrels that were trapped this season. They are
whole and
frozen they are in great condition and would make excellent additions to a mount
or just to
have. email me if you are interested in seeing picts or would like to buy.
hi my name is hamid and I'm new to this group. I don't know anything
about Taxidermy. I lost my pet canary recently (yellow frill canary,
about 5 in. in length, the pic is in a folder named hamid). can anyone
guide me in the steps I need to take to preserve my birds.
thank you for your time

Hi how much do you want for a squirrels?

There is no way to perserve your canary except to put him into a freezer
bag, seal it tight and put him in the freezer until or unless you can
find a good taxidermist to mount him for you. He will keep fine in
there so long as he never is thawed out and has been frozen within hours
after his death. Approximate cost of mounting is $100. and you have to
ship him overnight on ice if you can't find someone locally. Some
people charge more, but doubt anyone would do a good job for less.

Ok im kinda new at this was tanning some rabbits - i used to use
lutanf - but hear great thing about EZ tan - that you can gently wash
the hides without them going bad or falling apart (not in a machine
but by hand) - anyhow so now im using EZ tan -- and luckiny it was
just a few rabbitt pelts but - skinned em real good, saftee acid,
tanned for about 12 hours took em out of the tanning solution late
sunday night - about 9 or 10 - and instead of just rinsing them off
and settign out to dry i didnt want the cat to ge tto them so i put
some fresh water in a bucket and let them sit in there -- well I
couldnt ge to them iuntill tonight - lo of work and other stuff going
on - and i pull them out and notice the hair is slipping -- thought
the whole purpose of this better tanning agent was to allow them to
get wet afterwards -- can anyone comment - the error is mine - should
have waited till i had more time - but feel i got stiffed witht the ez
tan stuff -- can anyone else provide comparison data - or perhaps
explain why this happened?
Hi to all here, the new website I helped start,
WWW.HUNTERSONLY.COM , is getting so busy that I probably will have to
drop out of your group. I have enjoyed looking at your photos and
reading your posts, but with the new site having over 50 posts per
week, and rising, I am running out of time. We now have over 300
members and over 1000 posts in 5 months, so it is VERY active, and a
ton of fun. Good luck to all here in the coming seasons, and I hope
you visit HuntersOnly sometime. Olen
Man, it sounds like your life is just getting to busy. Glad to hear you'll
be leaving.
You said you were quitting bird dogs, wildfowl, and now taxidermy.
As I said, don't let the door slap you in the ass on the way out.
See Ya.

Hello,
I'm a 3rd year photography student, I'm doing a project on preserving
and protecting, ive been using stuffed birds in my images,in doing so
ive become fasinated in taxidermy..
part of my project, I am compiling a dictionary and id love you to get
involved with me.
I would like a list of up to 10 objects that mean the most to you, no
other details about the history of the object or why the object is
important to you is needed, just the object itself. I will not publish
your name with the results, just the list...can be anything from family
to fish tanks...
the taxidermy community is huge, but many people know very little about
the individuals that are part of it...I hope to change this and produce
an interesting look into objects that we value just as much as
taxidermy...
thank you for your time.
any queries please done hesitate to get back to me.

As I sat there I thought that one of two things must be happening,
either I am dreaming or I have lost my mind because I simply could
not believe what my eyes were showing me! Yet since I was watching
this whole thing unfold on a one hour television show I knew it must
be for real. The company's program that I am referring to can be
found at: http://dealsofthecentury.com I thought it was incredibly
interesting and decided to research it entirely. I am very skeptical
by nature so the first thing I did was check out the company. I
contacted the Better Business Bureau and found that the company has
had no complaints lodged against them, I also contacted Paypal who
has verified this company. They told me that they verified the
company's licenses, bank accounts and other paperwork indicating to
them that the company is legitimate. I also found out that they have
been around for more than 24 years. Then I started asking co-workers
and friends about this program and to my surprise most of the people
I spoke with either knew about the company or are active members of
it. The ones that are members all told me how pleased they are with
it and how much money they had saved and are currently saving. So I
decided to sign up for their sampler (which offers one of every
product they carry) program on 3/9/06. By 3/16/06 I received my
complete membership package and the fun began. Using their program
and the free lifetime membership that it includes I went to the
supermarket ready to make a killing. I bought everything I could
imagine in fact the cart was overflowing! The cashier rang up my
grocery bill and it came out to $276.40 then I presented her with the
coupons I received from this program and I saved $257.91 - my final
bill was only $18.49! The cashier wasn't the only one stunned. This
program has changed my life for the better!
We are coming up on the 1 year anniversary of the launch of my
website: WWW.HUNTERSONLY.COM . It will be one year in October, and we
are fast approaching 600 members, so I am just passing around all the
groups I am in to say thanks to all of you who have helped make
HuntersOnly a success. I enjoy getting all the messages from here, and
other websites, as it helps to post new news on HuntersOnly. Best of
luck to all hunters this season, Ollie ( sp10gauge, on HuntersOnly ).
G'day Scott,
Can you please bump someone up to Moderator or Owner
of Reloading@yahoogroups.com List is getting flooded
by spam and it'd be nice to be able to breathe some
life into it again.
Thanks in advance.

There are several well known and well used phrases
regarding money. Most of these have been around since
the first bank notes were printed and we stopped using
the barter system. While many still hold water today,
our generation and those that follow may find that the
tide is turning on this particular issue.
For example, "money doesn't grow on tree's". If I had
a pound for every time I've heard that, I would be
much richer than I am now. However the truth is that
in some money making systems money can grow on tree's.
The problem for average Joe is in deciding which is
honest and profitable and which won't give you a dime.
Many referral systems will use some sort of tree
structure with different payouts depending on which
branch of your tree a new user finds. While these can
be ongoing, the chances are in my opinion that anyone
who attempts to profit using referral systems will be
in for a rough ride. Of course if you are the owner of
a popular web page with thousands of visitors you are
likely to refer many, but often your proceeds will
come from your referrals referrals. Can you guarantee
the actions of people you don't know? No certainly
not, you can't even second guess people you do know
half the time, its human nature.
