This list is dedicated to the academic discussion of Babi-Baha'i history. It intends to create an open and tolerant forum in which various aspects of and approaches to Babi-Baha'i history can be discussed. Since there are countless other Baha'i-related email lists already in existence, it would be appreciated that comments unrelated to the concerns of this list be directed elsewhere. Therefore, I ask list members to keep the list's purpose in mind and limit posts to the discussion of historical matters—i.e. research, critical analysis, translations, etc.

Those seeking to subscribe to the Tarikh list must have at least one reference from an established, and known, list-member (e.g. the person who invited you). Requests that are not accompanied by a reference emailed directly to the list-moderator will be denied.

The Tarikh has a strict NO-FORWARDING policy. Any list-members who are known to have transgressed this policy will be removed ipso facto and without forewarning.
