This group is for people who have adopted/are adopting/are thinking about adopting a child or children from the Taraz region of Kazakhstan.

Alex was adopted from Umit in late December of 2003. (Connor arrived in March 2004.) Both boys are ready for school to be out and summer to get started!

Alex, age 9, will be finishing up third grade, and Connor, age 8, second grade. This past school year, Alex participated for the first time on a competitive cheer team. Since his first cartwheel and back walk-over, he's progressed to back handsprings and flips in the air! It's amazing to watch and he makes it look so easy! He's gearing up for practices to start next week for the upcoming competition season. He's also extremely creative and can draw just about anything free-hand.

And his latest fascination is with Nicki Minaj. He sings right along with her and many of his sentences start with, "Hey mom, you know Nicki Minaj?" And then he'll go on to tell me the latest gossip. While the two boys can pick on each other like typical brothers, they are also the best of friends. I can't imagine life without them!
