What's tango argentino? It's one of the classical dances in the world, which original appeared in Argentine, where its name came from. When Carlos GARDEL, one of the greatest singers, re-initiate the music of tango, it became one of the popular dances until the R'n'R time came. There is ballroom tango or tango international, but that is not tango argentino. Tango argentino is not a set-up dance, like most of the latin dances, it is very free.

The TangoShanghai Group is founded in January 2006, by several passionate tango lovers in Shanghai. Currently the Group members, joined in from local and overseas alike, have danced and shared their passion to the tango argentine, for its magical glamour. Now we focus on the BsAs Salon Tango with the most popular kinds of Tango--Tango argentino, Milonga, Vals Cruzado--in Shanghai.

We have our weekly milongas and practicas, please check our CALENDER (on the left column )to get the detail infomation. As you are one of TangoShanghai members, you will receive the update information about our events: milongas, practicas, workshops, demostracions and seminars

The TangoShanghai Group is growing, with strong connection of other tango clubs in Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Beijing; we are trying to make more effective in co-operation with more tango events in Asia. We welcome you and your friends to join us, to build up a better tango community of Shanghai.
