What's tango argentino? It's one of the classical dances in the world, which original appeared in Argentine, where its name came from. When Carlos GARDEL, one of the greatest singers, re-initiate the music of tango, it became one of the popular dances until the R'n'R time came. There is ballroom tango or tango international, but that is not tango argentino. Tango argentino is not a set-up dance, like most of the latin dances, it is very free. The history of tango argentino is written by many Maestros(masters), who invented most of tango steps, and many tango singers, who created most of the popular tango songs. In short, tango argentino is the perfect combination of music, sensation, steps and Amor(love) between people.

The Tangoshanghai Group is very young but it was founded by several experienced tango lovers in Shanghai. Most of its members have danced other dances, but finally the tango argentino became their favorite dance, because of its magic glamour. And we dance the most popular three kinds of Tango--Tango argentino, Milonga, Vals Cruzado--in Shanghai.

The Tangoshanghai Group is growing, with strong connection of other tango clubs in Taipei, Hongkong, Beijing and Osaka, we are trying to make more effects and co-operate with more tango events in asia. And we welcome you and your friends to join us, to build up the tango community of shanghai.
