TalkTemari is the Yahoo Discussion Group of Temarikai.com. Members are crafters and enthusiasts of Japanese Temari, the ancient folk art of embroidered thread-wound balls. The group shares ideas & help in the making and history of Temari, through both traditional/historical Japanese and contemporary teachings. We also learn and share some Japanese culture and traditions as they relate to the craft. TalkTemari joins everyone in a welcoming and fun environment, and all are welcome regardless of experience (or not) in making Temari. The goals of the group are to provide basic information right on up to advanced challenges, while exploring and preserving the traditional teachings of the craft and its heritage.
