Members are crafters and enthusiasts of Japanese Temari, the ancient art of embroidered thread-wound balls. Temari a traditional folk art of Japan. The group shares ideas & help in the making and history of Temari, through both traditional/historical Japanese and contemporary teachings. We also learn and share some Japanese culture and traditions as they relate to the craft. Everyone is welcomed to join the list, regardless of whether you are a newcomer to the craft or or an accomplished, experienced stitcher. TalkTemari joins everyone in a welcoming and fun environment, with the goals of providing basic information right on up though advanced challenges while exploring and preserving the traditional teachings of the craft and its heritage.
