How was everyone's Valentines?

Mine was just another day for me, I'm afraid. Somewhat more disappointing in that it could have been more, but events prevented it.

I'm re-reading _Jane Eyre_ right now. Mom says it's depressing and it's certainly not the happiest of novels, even this I recall from the first reading in HS, but seeing its movie version on PBS inspired me to read it again. PBS also inspired me to try and read Bleak House, even though I do not like Charles Dickens. Haven't gotten to that yet. The movie of Bleak House is wonderful, though, with Gillian Anderson in the cast.

More than likely it's my previous unfavorable view of Dickens that is holding me back, but the movie was good enough that I must attempt it. Does liking the movie mean I'll like the book? I don't know. Guess I'll see. :)
