TACOMA CELTIC PLAYERS (TCP) is a group of musicians who have an express interest in Celtic music and history. We host an Intermediate/Advanced Irish Trad session in Puyallup the 1st and 3rd SUNDAY of the month from 2pm-5pm.

THIS IS AN ACTIVE SESSION GROUP -INACTIVE MEMBERS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE! DECIDE CAREFULLY IF YOU WANT TO, OR CAN, PARTICIPATE 3-4 TIMES OR MORE PER YEAR! IF YOU CAN NOT, PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP!

VENUE is located at: "O'Farrells" restaurant- 1100 N. Meridian, Puyallup (Located behind Fred Meyer's, and in the same parking lot) There is no cost associated to join this group.

TCPs focus is Celtic/Traditional Irish, and our current song list is accessable on this website. All you need to do is join! You can download and listen to music that we are currently playing!

The session is moderate to fast, addressing the needs of Intermediate through advanced players.

As a sidenote: We also host a beginners only session that allows for growth in a supportive and understanding setting. This is held the 1st and 3rd SATURDAY of the month.

We encourage you to bring your fiddle, bass, flute, tin whistle, guitar, bodhran, zook, mandolin, voice, or other Irish appropriate instrument!

Each session opens with a slow to moderate pace of music: slow jigs, airs and waltzes, progressing to marches and more up-tempo songs, culminating with a livelier fare of jigs and reels. Members may sing if they like, or feel free to introduce new songs to the group!

Due to the adult nature of the session, expensive instruments, etc...children under the age of 16 are not allowed
