This all sounds like a rationale for not mentioning
R. Buckminster Fuller anywhere. These Disney engineers
may have coined the term "geosphere", but the idea of
doing a full sphere is nothing new.
Fuller was writing about the "geoscope" since at least
the early 1950s, and his design for the geodesic dome
came directly from spherical studies, as the primary
literature clearly documents. Geoscopes (full spheres)
were constructed at Cornell (1952) and Southern Illinois
University (1970), to name two sites.
Plus Fuller coined the term "Spaceship Earth".
Your making no mention of Fuller at all on this web
page perpetuates Disney Inc's pattern of ripping him
off -- using perfectly legal maneuvers no doubt.
