WHO ARE WE?
The Sydney Development Circle (SDC) is a mentoring and networking group open to anyone interested in international aid and community development at the local, regional and global levels.
SDC represents people of all ages, backgrounds and experience, across diverse development sectors. There are no membership dues. A volunteer steering committee coordinates events, and members are invited to recommend speakers and topics. SDC meets on the first Monday of every month, 6-8 pm, at University of Sydney P.N.R Building (off Shepherd St)
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY 2010: March 1, April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2, Sept 6, Oct 11* (2nd Monday of the month) Nov 1.
Members may use the Yahoo listserve to post topical events, questions or resources as long as they are not commercial in nature.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The Sydney Development Circle aims to provide a forum for sharing ideas and resources as well as discussing topical issues with others.
Meetings also give members and guests the opportunity to share information about the organisation they work for and their areas of experience, interest and passion in the field of development both in and out of Australia.
Special interest groups have begun to emerge, and may meet independently at any time, reporting back to the SDC meetings throughout the year.
