The Artistic Pedagogic Youth Organisation “Sxedia stin poli” (the name means “ raft in the city”) created on June 2002 as a non formal group called Artistic Pedagogic Youth Group “Sxedia”. Our motivation was the need for information, education and ideas exchange in the subject “communication through arts”, such as the creation of original artistic actions for kids and youth which aim to sensitize the local community in social matters as human rights, racism, differency, equal opportunities etc. This moment we are a Non Governmental Organization.
Our actions:
- Educational meetings, seminars, workshops for: communication, art in education, intercultural learning, non formal education in youth work
- Issue free bimonthly newsletter
- Voluntary programs for kids and youth in our town (“action in the streets”). Indicatively we report: theatrical happenings, puppet performances, artistic workshops and games with music and movement, in social events of sensitization, in collaboration with local institutions and other non governmental youth organisations.
- Collaboration with institutions and NGOs in Greece and abroad
- Educational programs and actions through European Program “YOUTH” (action 1, Action 5)
with partners NGOs from Europe.
