One of my college friends (who now swing dances) is going to be visiting Jackson, TN for Thanksgiving and wants to detour to Memphis if there's anything going on Friday night. Looks like the Blues Foundation rent party is Friday, are there many people going? Anything else going on Friday night? I don't know if she needs a place to crash or is heading back to Jackson that night.
Anyone who is dancing in Memphis or doing something else visitor-worthy, please let me know. House parties? Anything? Let me know. I miss you all!

If you don't get enough of Joel at Snap, Crackle, and Lindy Hop, road trip to Cincy and learn from him at the Smorgasbord of Swing on November 28, 2009. This is a one-day workshop with a dance in the evening for only $35 ($30 for just the workshop, $5 for the dance,) so that means that you can get some sleep Sunday before heading back to Memphis.
It's only an 8 hour drive (or less, depending on how fast you dare to drive on Thanksgiving weekend)...if you come up Friday, I'd be happy to show you around Cincinnati. If you plan to shop in the insanity on Friday, you're on your own. Check out the schedule and register here.
