Description of Classes:

7:00 - Fundamentals of Lindy Hop - this class will focus on 8 count rhythm
and on learning the Swingout. It is part of our 2 week lindy hop crash course.
You will be up and dancing in no time at all and you will learn basic
connection,
rhythm, timing, and footwork. It is going to be a SUPER FUN time with
Rye & Audrey.
This is a great way to get people dancing who are brand new to Lindy / Swing.
It is also a great class to get people who have had a break from Lindy and or
Swing
and are ready to turn things up a notch. Raw beginners and seasoned dancers
encouraged to take this class in order to get ready for our next full series
starting on
September 2nd. No partner needed and no experience required.
Already have some experience, why not take the class as the opposite role:
leaders learn to follow and followers learn to lead.


7:00 - Teacher Training Class - for Intermediate and above dancers:
This class is geared towards people who have an interest in learning to teach
swing and or lindy hop. In this class we will talk about the basics of teaching
swing and or lindy hop to people. You will also be exposed to methods of
teaching
and concepts to keep people dancing. There will be mini-teaching exercises that
we complete as well. You need to be at least at an intermediate level lindy hop
dancer. You do not need a partner for this class. It will be part seminar, part
discussion, and part practice. Come prepared to share and
learn some easy tools for teaching. Class size limited.

8:15 - Lines & Styling for Intermediate and Above Lindy Hoppers
Come join in on a great class where you will learn tools for adding more
energy, flare, and style to your lindy hop. We will focus on giving
you ideas for body movement to bring into your dancing.
We hope to inspire more creativity to come out of you when you
are out on the social dance floor. We also hope to help
dancers to find more of their own individual expression through
the exercises provided in this class. Come join the fun this
Tuesday. You must already be "at" an intermediate level and or
above before taking this class.

The next Saturday Rhythm Lounge is Saturday, September 20th.
Save the Date for a super fun event.
On Saturday, September 20th, we will have
a workshop pre-Rhythm Lounge, so get ready for a
super fun day of classes followed by loads of social dancing.
September 20th will also feature a Jack N Jill contest too : )
