The Latin Quarter album "Swimming Against the Stream", which is only generally available via ebay from Germany, is the best overtly political band of all time.

The fact that Latin Quarter were relatively strong in Germany is particularly significant because of its Nazi history and the continued strength of fascism in that country today. I recently obtained an LP of the album containing a German translation of the lyrics.

Latin Quarter have only ever sung one song in a language other than English, as far as I know. The exception is the great animal rights song Dominion which is on this album in English but which they have sung in German on a single.

I also obtained a Japanese CD of this album. This is also important due to the nuclear weapons dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The song "After Maralinga" describes the awful way islanders who nuclear weapons were tested on have failed to get anything done after many years of campaigning.
