Paddleheads since 1993, the SW Florida Paddling Club is a group of friends who kayak around Fort Myers Beach, Pine Island, Cape Coral, Sanibel, Ten Thousand Islands and beyond to enjoy natural Florida environment and wildlife. Contact the trip coordinator for trip details (length, conditions, recommended gear). Some trips are too long for beginners. Paddlers are responsible for their own safety and comfort. Bring pfd, water, food, sun & wind protection, extra clothes. Arrive 30 min before launch, use google maps to calculate driving time. Any questions? Sat Apr 27 launch 9am dirt parking lot SE side of Little Carlos Pass.
Wed May 1, paddle after work, launch 6pm beach before Sanibel Toll
Wed May 8, paddle after work, launch 6pm sandy beach North Ft Myers. Take 41 (cleveland ave) north, turn left after you drive over bridge. Usually paddle 1.5-2hrs.
Fri May 10, SWFLPC Meeting, Two Meatballs 5:30-7pm
Sun May 12, Mother's Day Paddle, launch 9am Pineland, paddle to lagoon past Cabbage Key, pull up on Cayo Costa Beach. 14 miles round trip, not for beginners.
Fri May 24, Sunset and almost Full Moon Paddle. Launch 6:30pm end of Porto Bello Rd, Bokeelia. $5 launch fee, no toilets. Bring water, snack, light.
Sun May 26, launch 8:30am west end of Kismet, Cape Coral, paddle mangrove maze to Charlotte Harbor maybe find Blueway #99. free parking, dirt lot, no toilets. Bring sun protection, food, drinks.
