We have formed a small working group, tentatively named SWAG.
Put simply, we're working on a dictionary for the Semantic Web. We're hoping
to be able to put together a listing of important vocabularies for the
Semantic Web (RDF, RDFS, DAML, etc.) as well as being a clearinghouse for
new terms needing a home. Where terms are equivalent we'd provide this
information. We also hope to provide "Best Practices" information on the
appropriate usage of various terms.
The hope is, that by providing such a service, we won't have a lot of people
reinventing the wheel for the same useful terms. Also, for people building
SW agents, the site will be a great resource for the important words to use.
Our current plans are to register a PURL for use as an address and namespace
and have it link to a site with definitions of all the terms. We hope to
make liberal use of XHTML and RDF schemas to describe each term.
