Tayberry Jam Sustainability recycling program
Hello and welcome to Cougar Mountain as we enjoy this inspiring event known as The Tayberry Jam.
Every year this event seems to get better and better with the natural metamorphosis of this magical time and place. Part of that metamorphosis being adopted this year is the outlook on how we handle everybody's unwanted materials (trash, recycling, & compost). In years past the encouragement was if you bring it up; take it with you when you leave. This year we encourage people to utilize are team of recycling experts! We are committed to insuring that all unwanted items are PROPERLY dealt with and not just land filled or trash that can contaminate good recycling. We are hoping to literally turn trash into treasure. We have a whole recycling center set up and people to help you if you don't know if your unwanted items are recyclable or not. Examples of items you might have questions about ie:
Batteries, broken electronics (cell phones, CD players), empty propane canisters, cigarette butts, all paper/cardboard, any broken/unbroken glass, beverage bottles, all metal, anything made of plastics, bi-o-hazard items (such as soiled or bloody cloths, insulin injection syringes.)
We just want to see all materials handled and discarded properly so please don't be afraid to ask our Orange shirted recycling volunteers for assistance.
One way you can give to Cougar Mountain is by giving us your recycling! Why go back home with all that trash and recycling or beer and soda bottles/cans in your car? Let us handle it so you don’t have to.... let us help you! As well you can enjoy your time and leave confidently knowing that all of the unwanted/used materials are handled correctly.
All this for what most see as Trash/Garbage... who cares right... Well, I know you care. So let’s make this work for everyone.
Blessings, and enjoy the 2011 Tayberry Jam!
Hope to see you.
