This group is for people who have had an acquired brain injury (abi) from such causes as traumatic brain injury (tbi), stroke, tumor, or illness (encephalitis, encephalosis, meningitis, etc.) Other terms associated with survivors in this group include brain aneurysm, hypoxic/anoxic brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage, skull fracture, head trauma, brain trauma, mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI), coma and post-concussion syndrome. The focus of this particular group is on advocacy for people with brain injuries. On SABI we discuss our abilities and our disabilities, our joys and our frustrations, and we help each other as best we can. So if you are a survivor, we welcome you to share your ideas. Please help us to provide a safer world for the members of our brain injury community. The SABI forum is strictly for people with brain injuries. BIN is currently calling for international and national standards in post-secondary programs for abi and tbi adult students. BIN is also developing other public policy agendas.
