The SuperHoof Yahoo Group is a forum for professional and advanced barefoot hoof trimmers to AMICABLY discuss and share methods of rehabilitating and maintaining healthy equine hooves. This site is meant to be a forum for higher education and research regarding barefoot trimming. Flaming and insults will not be tolerated.
Horse owners and clients are welcome to post their case studies for review, but be aware that the scope of recommendations you receive will be broad, and it is your responsibility to choose the best route for your horse. One way to qualify a trimmer's knowledge and experience is to view their case studies posted on SuperHoof.org.
We do not discriminate by method or style on this group. If it works, it's worth investigating and discussing. However, any techniques or theories discussed on this group are to be used at your own risk. Please consult with a qualified hoofcare professional before trimming your own horse (or anyone else's).
Case studies are most welcome! Rather than use the cumbersome Yahoo photo albums, photos and case studies should be posted on SuperHoof.org. You can link directly to a SuperHoof case study in your message to the group (no login is required to view case studies on SuperHoof.org).
Upcoming Events: Please post your upcoming hoof-related events to the SuperHoof Calendar (not to the group directly). Once a week, upcoming events will be compiled in a message and shared with the group.
Please visit SuperHoof.org for more about our philosophy and to create an account for posting case studies.
NOTE TO NEW MEMBERS: WHEN YOU JOIN, PLEASE LET US KNOW WHETHER YOU ARE A TRIMMER OR HORSE OWNER (OR BOTH) IN THE COMMENT FIELD. THANKS!
