2. two part-time CONSULTANTS as Co-Writer/Developer of INTERVENTION
EXERCISES for the Children's Toolkit (period NOW to end July 2008)
3. a professional CO-WRITER and EDITOR of the Children's Toolkit and
NGO Staff Training Manual (Consultant; period NOW to December 2008)

JOB DETAILS -- Programme Manager
We are looking for a hard worker and fast learner, who is driven by
challenges, and committed to see the programme through the entire
next phase (2008-2011).
STARTING DATE – latest by June 1, 2008 (preferably earlier).
MAIN TASKS:
1. General management of the project: strategic planning, heading
the team (6-10 staff), donor management, report writing, financial
management
2. PR and networking with Indian NGOs and INGOs
3. Finalise the publications of the Sexual Health Intervention
Programme: Children's Activities Toolkit, and NGO Staff Training
Package
4. Scale up the Intervention Programme throughout (South) India
5. Build the Partner NGO Network.
YOU ARE:
- an intelligent, well-experienced manager (minim. 3 years)
- used to run highly challenging projects
- strongly motivated to promote sexual health for street and slum
teenagers in India
- keen to work in, and with, grassroots NGOs in India
- skilled in working with donors (incl. report writing and financial
management)
- fluent in English and experienced in professional writing (in
English)
- talented to work with very different stakeholders and team members

JOB DETAILS -- PART-TIME CONSULTANTS as Co-Writer/Developer of
Intervention Exercises for the Children's Toolkit
Period: IMMEDIATELY (latest 12 May) to end July / early August 2008.
MAIN TASKS:
1. Discuss and finalise session objectives with the team
2. Develop ideas for creative and interactive exercises to meet the
session objectives
3. Write ideas into an exercise template using clear, concise,
simple English; rewrite until almost ready for publication
4. Develop the ideas for resources required for your exercises
(drawings, puppets, etc), and work with illustrator to make these
5. Review and give detailed feedback on exercises written by other
team members
YOU ARE:
- Highly creative and imaginative!
- Well-skilled in developing and writing creative, interactive
training materials
- Able to `hit the ground running' (jump into this running project)
- Passionate about promoting positive sexual health for street and
slum teenagers in India
- Totally comfortable to discuss all sexuality issues, and
knowledgeable about sexual health
- Well-experienced in working with children/teenagers, and
knowledgeable about the realities of street and out-of-school slum
children
- Available to start immediately

JOB DETAILS -- Professional Co-Writer and Editor of the
Children's Toolkit and NGO Staff Training Manual (Consultant)
Period: IMMEDIATELY (latest 19 May) to December 2008.
MAIN TASKS:
1. Finalise the Children's Toolkit – a 500+ page manual for
facilitators, plus accompanying resources:
- Revise/re-write the Children's Activities (sessions) using the
feedback from the Field Tests
- Co-develop and write further contents for the Children's
Activities' Manual
- Professionally edit the Children's Activities' Manual – make
ready for publication
2. Write and edit the Trainer's Manual – to train NGO Staff (200+
pages, plus Trainer and Trainee Resources):
- Write the NGO Staff Trainer's Manual based on the trainings
given – on (teenage) sexuality, sexual health, related life skills,
and working with street and slum teenagers on these issues
- Professionally edit the Staff Trainer's Manual and Resources –
make ready for publication
3. Liaise with the Graphic Designer and Printer to produce the above
high-quality publications
YOU ARE:
- Highly skilled in professional writing and editing, preferably of
training manuals (proof required)
- Experienced in developing (and/or extensively using) a broad
variety of creative, interactive training materials
- Very knowledgeable about the ingredients that make up good
Training Manuals
- Experienced in conducting training workshops, preferably for
grassroots NGO (field) staff
- Completely comfortable to work on sexuality and sexual health
issues
