Description
This group has been set up to allow communication between people involved in the project to develop Stoney Wood in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.
Stoney Wood was planted by local people on the site of an old quarry. The project was partly inspired by the 'Foret Giorno'* a planting project near Wirksworth's French twin town of Die.
(*Jean Giono wrote the inspiring tale or reafforestation in southern France called 'The Man who planted trees')
