BIO

Rob founded the Stone Family History Group on Yahoo in 2002 to assist other Stone Family researchers in sharing their valuable genealogical information. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the late 1980's and early 1990's and has worked in the computer industry since 1995. He is a member of Waynedale Lodge No. 739 F&AM and the Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite. His Confederate ancestor, Esley P. Stone, served in Hughey's 8th Arkansas Field Artillery Battery, was a member of the Green Grove Masonic Lodge, and was one of the pioneers of Faulkner County Arkansas. Rob has also served as 1st Lt. Commander of the Indiana Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Mr. Stone's other notable ancestors include Thomas Stone, a signor of the Declaration of Independence and William Stone, the first Governor of Maryland.
