Description

This group was founded for people like you, folks interested in researching their Stone family history and sharing those findings with others. In addition to the wealth of information you will find here, even more information on your Stone family roots can be found at the Stone Family Association website: http://www.stonefamilyassociation.org

In addition to the message board, you will find a list of FILES available for download as well as LINKS to genealogical and/or Stone family websites. Also many of our members have contributed photos of their Stone ancestors. Please feel free to add to this wonderful archive and be a part of making it grow.

BIO

Rob founded the Stone Family History Group on Yahoo in 2002 to assist other Stone Family researchers in sharing their valuable genealogical information. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the late 1980's and early 1990's and has worked in the computer industry since 1995. He is a member of Waynedale Lodge No. 739 F&AM and the Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite. His Confederate ancestor, Esley P. Stone, served in Hughey's 8th Arkansas Field Artillery Battery, was a member of the Green Grove Masonic Lodge, and was one of the pioneers of Faulkner County Arkansas. Rob has also served as 1st Lt. Commander of the Indiana Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Mr. Stone's other notable ancestors include Thomas Stone, a signor of the Declaration of Independence and William Stone, the first Governor of Maryland.
