Description

[ stoicism, stoics, stoic philosophy, spiritual exercises, exercises, practices, exercise, discipline, Epictetus, Discourses, Enchiridion, handbook, manual, Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, Seneca]

The Stoic Practice group was founded to provide a forum for those who wish to develop a Stoic practice. Our focus is on the Stoicism and teachings of Epictetus, and our primary online source is Keith Seddon's article: Epictetus [Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy] at: http://www.iep.utm.edu/epictetu/

Also, other than the texts that have come down to us from Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, and Seneca, there aren't any more useful resources to Stoic practice than two books by Keith Seddon:

Stoic Serenity: A Practical Course on Finding Inner Peace

Epictetus' Handbook and the Tablet of Cebes: Guides to Stoic Living
