Members of SMCWG post their writing to receive & offer gentle, honest feedback.
We've all been members of online groups that just seem to die after a while. Groups die because members stop participating. Members in writing groups stop participating when their work is ignored. Try to offer feedback on one piece per posting (one chapter equals one piece, one poem equals one piece, one short story equals one piece). Poets can post multiple pieces and need only critique one chapter/short story critique, unless they decide to critique another poem, then it is a one poem per one poem critique.
If you have not posted your writing in a while, still offer feedback to those that are posting. This not only helps keep your skills fresh, but is a courtesy to our active members.
