no Taquillia as I am VERY allergic to agave it turns out... I always wondered why Margarittas got me sick. Gin, Rum, Vodka or Bourbon are all good things to have for the CHEEP Hooch:) I personally like Rum the best but what ever is clever is my motto:)

I think santa needs a bottle of cheap hooch to pass around on the bus.  Anything that we should avoid?

All right Santa's!!! it's Santarchy time, StLouis style. The schedule is quite a bit different this year, and I think quite a bit more Super-Awesome. A lot more downtown, and a little more walking. A returning favorite, the Cabin Inn the City at the City Museum, and a new groovy photo opportunity, the Citygarden.

Also, I want people out there to consider forming their own group marches that could intersect or branch with the main Santa mob. For instance, I believe there is a group planning to start in Maplewood then hook up with the Main gathering at Union Station skipping the scheduled U-City Loop. I think that is fantastic.

its quite possible to have a great time with limited funds.
santa's & bar patrons are often quite generous.
beverages of your own can be drank between bars (its rude/illegal to drink your own inside an establishment that has a liquor license).
many places treat us with free food, but just in case -bring snacks.
mostly, just try to pace your spending to match your budget.
there are even some sober santa's that have a great time - some of them werent even preggers.

i just mention the $$ so folks can plan ahead and not be concerned with finding an ATM that doesnt charge for withdrawals.
some places will take credit/debit cards but you dont want to waste that kind of time in the bar.

Hanukah Harries for our jewish friends, an Easter Bunny, Union Leader Elf, Raindeer, Jackie Frost, and one that I did not get till I caught up on the series... the new Dr Who. OMG that was funny in July when I got that joke:)

And as for me I was a Gothic Lolita Santa... Only changing costume slightly for this year:) Can't wait even tho I will be DEAD BROKE and really not able to drink unless others are buying, it will still be a blast, especially with my Hanukah Harry.

Gifts... trinkets... some gave blinky things, some gave shot glasses on necklaces. Some focused on gifts for passers by some on gifts for the Santas. Gifting is not required but it is nice. I will have some hot hands for people if they need them.

Last year was my first year but I have done other things like this... remember to plan for the temp and for lot

I think santa needs a bottle of cheap hooch to pass around on the bus.  Anything that we should avoid?

Expect to have more fun than you thought was possible.
if you consume adult beverages, expect that you will not be able to drive aftewards.
expect to spend all your money, even though there are lots of bargains to be had at the stopping points, $5 spent many times adds up.

i give out trinkets and candies.  i dont wrap them.
some folks re-gift interesting/odd things.  they usually do wrap them.  i think they are more fun than my stuff.

I heard this from Claire-ian the Librarian, one of the organizers of the
MetroLink Prom:

------------
Metro is considering doing a holiday Santa MetroLink train this year, but they
want to know that people are interested before they go ahead and make it happen.
It would run every Friday and Saturday in December.

If you would be interested there being a Santa MetroLink train ride in St.
Louis, please let them know by e-mailing blog@... or by tweeting
with the hashtag #stlholidaytrain. And spread the word! The more they hear the
more likely it is to happen.

I wrote a blog entry about the Santa Express annual El train in Chicago, with
photos, if you want to know more about where their inspiration came from and
what a holiday train might look like. It's here.
if-we-tell-them-we-want-it/)
------------

I'm not entirely sure if and/or how this might effect us. Drunken Santas don't
tend to mix well with wholesome Santas.

with the cutback in public transit (bus), and the increase in price for the all day pass, i'm sure the process of creating the schedule is harder than ever.  be patient.
and no matter where the santas go, it will be fun.

but if there is a way to include tuba xmas.......

So I have desided to open up shop for a few weeks to make some money after loosing my job and wrecking my car. This is great news for some of you as you get to purchase some of my handcrafted holiday gifts for Hanukkah or Christmas.

First of all I am making Holiday cards

Hanukkah cards
Christmas cards Snowman themed, Polar Bear themed, Sugar Plum Faerie, or random winter images such as mittens, cocco, etc.

Next there are my hand crafted note cards. We have lost the art of writing to eachother by hand. Encourage a return to this art by buying your loved ones my note cards themes are as follows. Buy in sets of 4 or 8.

Japaneese and Chineese images and lettering
"Etched" Birds
Nature block "etchings"
Travel
Romance of the past(victorian-1950s objects, advertising and imagery)

Card prices are $1/card so sets of 4=$4 sets of 8=$8 this goes for holiday as well.

Third there are my fun and fabulous Record Bowls. Not recomended for wet food they are great for chip or popcorn bowls or for your pocket fodder as you return home from a long day at work. Record titles will be provided upon order request based on the fact that each one is individual and I will have to keep up with who has ordered which record. Genre's are as follows

Jazz and Blues which mostly consists of big band compulations great for the swing dancers or grandparents.
Classical
Rock and folk (one or two disco in this)
Christmas music
Sound tracks (some are musicals some are movies)

These will be sold for the fabulous price of $6 a piece.

If any of you who have had my scrumptious Pumpkin butter before would like to pick some up from me you have to contact me individually as I can not advertise food:)

I am also taking orders for costuming of adult or doll sized pieces. This is great for those of you who love to wear the stuff or collect the stuff but have eiter no time or no idea how to begin to make it. This will be priced on individual basis.

As for doll cloths I have been creating my own patterns mostly for porcilain but will work with Ball Jointed Dolls as well.
