Skipping out on your taxi driver without paying the fare is very un-Santa like. 
It also comes back on the person who was kind enough to call your drunk butt a
cab in the first place.

Caroling in our Steampunk Finery. We're meeting up at Cicero's on the loop.

the day pass has increased this year, unless you are taking the metro to delmar loop and then doing all 3 of the metro/bus runs, the pass will cost you more than individual tickets.

to ensure we quickly get everyone's metro tickets and that you dont overpay on buses, you may want to put your transit money in a special place. 

i suggest 6 ones, and 4 quarters.

delmar-union station via metrolink:  $2.25

downton-soulard via metrolink & bus:  $2.75 (2 hour pass)

soulard-grand via bus: $2.00 (this is late night, and some folks may opt for cabs or sober drivers)

For Santarchy, we're going to start in the High 30s, then hit the day's highest
temperature at about 1pm: 40 degrees.

After 3 we start to see temperatures drop steadily until 8pm when the chance of
rain begins.

The good news is that even though it will get into the 20s tonight, it won't
drop below 30 tomorrow night. Er. Probably.

So Santas: Dress warmly and you might want to waterproof those
boots/hats/coats/cloaks.

TIGHTS TIP:
For any elves or santas wearing tights, may I recommend that you wear at least
two pairs? This way your legs stay warmer. It's an old marching band trick that
I learned from the Flag Corps. Two to three layers of tights and your legs stay
warm and look fantastic!

I won't be going this year I'm afraid.  I've got a number of very sore and
painful cold sores in my mouth compliments of drinking far too acidic fruit
juices this past week.  So I can't eat anything too solide and booze is out of
