Welcome to Beijing's Stitch n Bitch group page!

This group is to encourage the gathering of gals (& guys if you like) to come together over crocheting, knitting, needlepoint or whatever hand craft you'd like to do whilst solving the world's problems. It's about the comforts & simplicity of making something with your own two hands and enjoying the traditions or pride of that accomplishment whilst meeting the challenges of living in a place like Beijing and/or China.

It was the winter of 2009 in Beijing and with the cold came the urge to curl up in a comfy chair and use up a couple of those (dozens of) balls of yarn I had rolling around the house. With the encouragement of a friend I started the Beijing group called Stitch n Bitch (didn't make up the name, see links section for the international directory of Stitch n Bitch groups).

Whether you're new to Beijing and/or crafts or old to either, if you're looking for a group of yarn addicts & enablers that will hear you, understand you and encourage you to buy that cashmere/bamboo/llama blend even though you have other stuff yearning for a project at home - then you're in the right place.

Disclaimer: we are not responsible for dwindling budgets but we do try to find places with good but cheap coffee.
