Starman, I want to extend my thanks to you for posting the Soul-Calendar on
a weekly basis. I shouldn't take that effort for granted. I think that it
is a good addition to all of the others posts.

*******Thanks. It is a bit of work translating and posting every Saturday.
For any who don't know what the calendar of the soul is, Steiner gave out a
series of 52 mantras that enable you to experience astrally the course of the
year, and in the original 1912 version there were saints and other spiritual
figures and events listed for each day, 12 images of the zodiac for each
month, and the Moon phases and signs each night. I have the 12 images and the
German original and was posting this every week until recently.

The Calendar starts with mantram #1 at Easter. If people would like to
try using them, I 'll start posting them again at our anthroposophic "new
year", Eastertide. Unfortunately this list blocked attachments after someone
sent through a virus, so I can't send the images as long as that stays
blocked (tried sending them IN the e-mails and that didn't work either). If
the policy doesn't change, you'd have to request the images from me
individually or get them off one of the mailing lists that allows them like
"anthroposophy" or "spiritualscience" or "rosicruciansophia".

This is a good time to start a spiritual exercise like this. What was
conceived at Christmastime wants to "rise up" now, so any of you who were in
the 12 Nights' study should consider doing it.

Starman,

Yes, I would be interested. It seems though that things have gotten very
quiet since the 12 Nights study not only on this list but on other lists as
well. Again thanks for your efforts.

I would be interested as well. Perhaps we can take a chance on
"attachments' again. I really like to have the images to study.

That would be a great idea. That way, those of us who want the

Excellent idea to put them to file, they would be more easily accessible
there, especially for new comers who fall in love with them.

*******All right, why don't all the people who would like to use the Calendar
plan on starting on Easter Sunday? Here's some tips: first, let me repeat for
anyone who is new to this what the 'Calendar of the Soul' is. Steiner gave
out a series of 52 mantras that enable you to experience astrally the course
of the year, and in the original 1912 published version there were also
saints & other spiritual figures & events listed for each day, 12 images of
the zodiac (one for each month), and the Moon phases and signs listed for
each night. I have the 12 images and the German original of the Calendar with
everything in it (most books have only the mantras) and can post this every
week.

The Calendar starts with mantram #1 at Easter. One way to think of using
the mantras is like an actor learning one's lines. You first need to memorize
the verse so that you can recite it from memory whenever you wish to. Then,
you can enter a little deeper into the experience of it by repeating it,
silently or aloud. Most people will insist on using an English translation,
but I found that a hindrance: so I work with the original German and think
the words in English as I say the German. That's how I did my translations a
bit at a time over the past twenty years.

The first verse, for instance, describes how the Sun calls out to us, how
our senses are affected by its 'return' or rebirth at Easter (in the Northern
Hemisphere; I don't want to get into any futile discussions with people about
the hemispheres but it's obvious that the mantras are tied to the seasons as
we experience them in the North).
This awakens joy within us as the Light grows, drawing our thoughts out to
the wide world. So:

Wenn aus den Weltenweiten die Sonne spricht zum Menschensinn...
When out of the World-Widths the Sun speaks to man's Senses...
                       (Welten weiten, the wide world)
Undf Freude aus Seelentiefen dem Light sich eint im Schauen...
And Joy out of Soul-Deeps the Light becomes one with in Vision...

As you can see, the German is not so much more difficult than the English.
But choose either and start memorizing those first lines; they describe the
Easter event. The Sun, Light, Vision.

More tomorrow...

Starman, again thanks for reminding us that these mantras are very good
exercises which allows one's own soul to follow the path of Christ out into the
cosmos and back again within the course of the year.

*******Yes, for the Christ is connected with our whole experience of Time, as
becomes clear to any anthroposophist who uses the Foundation Stone mantra.

Sorry to be a day late, but we are having technical problems. We'll also be
delayed in sending or posting the Zodiac images and even the info about the
days of the week. But here is the first mantra of the calendar, the Easter
mantra:

Wenn aus den Weltenweiten
Die Sonne spricht zum Menschensinn,
Und Freude aus den Seelentiefen
Dem Licht sich eint im Schauen,
Dann ziehen aus der Selbstheit Hulle
Gedanken in die Raumesfernen
Und binden dumpf
Des Menschenn Wesen an des Geistes Sein.

When out of the World-Widenesses
The Sun speaks to Man's Senses
And Joy out of the soul's depths
The Light becomes one with in Vision,
Then is drawn out of Self-hood's sheath
Thinking into Space-distances
And binds dimly
Man's Essence and the Spirit's Being.

As I said, first I recommend you start memorizing the lines of either the
German (if you choose) or the English, so that you can recite it at will.
Take it one line at a time, then two lines, etc. You'll find that it has 4
groups of 2 lines each, with a mood to each. Think the thoughts and try to
picture what they describe with feeling. The Risen christ is the resurrected
Sun that now speaks; Joy rises from the deep within at Him, as the Egyptians
felt on seeing Aton or the sun-disc rise; then feel your thoughts drawn into
the wide universe; and meditate on what it means to say that in a hidden way
this effects a joining of your deepest inner essence to the World's Being.

-Dear Starman,

Up until now I've been reading your 'calendar of the soul posts' but
not actually using them. I also have a copy of this in book form, but
I haven't used this either.

After the recent posts on the subject, I've felt a strong inclination
to actually make use of the mantras you send. So I began as soon as I
read your latest installment, (week 1, the perfect time to start).

I intend to memorise, digest and meditate on the mantras from now on.
So I thank you for providing this service. Keep up the good work.

Warm regards, charlie

Well, it's so good to hear someone is actually using these. The path of
spiritual science is that one first begins to take these things in with one's
ordinary mind, ponder them, speculate, etc.; but if one wishes to become a
spiritual scientist, at some point one must begin to take up meditative
Imaginations, mantras, etc., and develop a regular meditative life. All the
speculation about what Steiner said in this or that lecture won't lead to
seeing for oneself. OK, I'm starting posting them again regularly. If any
others over the next year get anything out of these, they'll have you to
thank.

*******The 'Calendar of the Soul' is made up of 52 meditative mantras
enabling one to consciously experience the 'astral' (soul) events occurring
within you in the course of the year. The original Calendar in 1912 also
contained 12 images of the zodiac (to be meditated on to sense the working of
the solar forces in the cosmos into you in the day) and the Moon's position
in the constellations each night (for sensing the lunar forces), as well as a
list of saints and other spiritual figures to meditate on connected with
specific days of the week.

This week's verse in the original German:

Ins Aussre des Sinnesalls
Verliert Gedankenmacht ihr Eigensein;
Es finden Geisteswelten
Den Menschensprossen wieder,
Der seinen Keim in ihnen,
Doch seine Seelenfrucht
In sich muss finden.

An English translation:
In outer World of the Senses
Thinking’s might loses its Self-existence;
The Spiritual Worlds find
The offspring of Man again,
Whose seed is in them
But who must find its Soul-Fruit,
Within itself.

The "self-existence" in line 2 means the stamp of separateness of our
thinking. Our thinking is meant to lose this 'standing-apart from things' as
it plunges into the senses this week. This is in line with the Sun returning
(in the N. Hemisphere): the senses' effects re-awakening as we move from the
winter (Inner) Self-Consciousness to summer (Outer) Nature-Consciousness.

As we contemplate what the senses reveal, the third and fourth lines
awaken the feeling that actually the spiritual world that created us human
beings is now finding itself in what is our "offspring", in what we create---
in other words, it could create us, but then we could estrange ourselves from
it, but now, in our experience of ourselves as conscious beings we bring
something NEW into existence (the "offspring" or "son of man"), in which the
Divine is actually able to "find itself" again. By our experiencing of the
senses so intensely that we lose our separateness of thinking, we create
something new, and the Divine finds itself again in that.

The last 3 lines express the reason why this has to be so, because we are
like a plant which has both seed and flower: the 'seed-self' was 'planted' by
the spiritual world, but its 'flower' can come about only by experiencing
ourselves, our soul-life.

The verse is for the entire week, but in the original Soul-Calendar
Steiner also listed the Moon's phases and its position in the constellations
each night; and, for each day, there were saints and other spiritual figures
connected with that day, some of which are listed below.

Sunday April 22nd. Moon Pisces.
     Kant born 1724.
Monday April 23rd. Moon Aries. New Moon.
George (slayer of the Dragon, that according to legend lived in the time
of
         Diocletian). Shaespeare born 1564.
Tuesday April 24th. Moon Aries.
      Sigmund.
Wednesday April 25th. Moon Taurus.
      Mark the Evangelist.
Thursday April 26th. Moon Taurus.
      Uhland born 1787.
Friday April 27th. Moon Gemini.
Tertullian (famous Church teacher of the 3rd century). Socrates born 470
B.C.
        Emerson died 1882.
Saturday April 28th. Moon Gemini.
        Eusebius.

I cannot attach to this e-mail the zodiac painting of Aries (one of the 12
images published with the original calendar; the Sun is in Aries from April
14th to 30th in our era according to the Doctor), because attachements are
blocked on this list after Jeff sent everyone a virus. I will try to put it
on the website as a file anyone can download.

Dr. Starman

P.S. Franky on the 'anthroposophy' list described the stage lighting for this
week's calendar of the soul verse. I'm sure she wouldn't mind my re-posting
it here with a few things added to it.

<<How to breathe in each verse of Calendar of the Soul ?

The Stage lights gives one way.

In week 02

First part: Blue above, white below (foot light).

Ins Äussere des Sinnesalls (In the outer world of senses)

Verliert Gedankenmacht ihr Eigensein; (powers of thought its separate being
loses;)

(*******This represents the experience of the blue sky above, ourselves
below.)

2nd part: Red above, green below:

Es finden Geisteswelten (The worlds of spirit find)

Den Menschensprossen wieder, (again their human offspring)

Der seinen Keim in ihnen (who germinates in them)

(*******This pictures the spiritual above active, we below passively
receiving;)

3rd part: red above and below:

Doch seine Seelenfrucht (but his own fruit of soul)

(*******This pictures that both the spiritual world AND ourselves are active;)

4th part: Blue above, green below:

In sich muss finden (within himself must find)

(*******This is an image of the heavens above, receiving below again.)

Steiner gave out eurythmy forms for all 52 of the verses.

In outer World of the Senses
Thinking’s might loses its Self-existence;
The Spiritual Worlds find
The offspring of Man again,
Whose seed is in them
But who must find its Soul-Fruit,
Within itself.

For those new to what the 'Calendar' is: the cycle of the year can be a
meditation in itself, and Steiner gave out the 'Calendar of the Soul' to do
this. It's made up of 52 meditative mantras enabling one to consciously
experience the 'astral' (soul) events occurring within you as well as in
external Nature in the course of the year.

These 52 mantras (for which Steiner later gave the eurythmy forms) are
well known to many anthroposophists, but the original Calendar in 1912 ALSO
contained 12 images of the zodiac (to be meditated on to sense the working of
the 'solar' forces in the cosmos into you in the day) and the Moon's position
in the constellations was listed for each night (for sensing the 'lunar'
forces). There was also a list of saints and other spiritual figures to
meditate on connected with specific days of the week.

We're presenting all of that here each week. This has not been done since
1912 and is available nowhere else AFAIK. I have the original Calendar in
German and am translating it section by section, as well as the 12 Zodiac
images done by Magaret Roessler (after Imma von Eckherdstein's originals).

                                                 *       *       *

The mantra in the original German:

Es spricht zum Weltenall,

Sich selbst vergessend

Und seines Urstands eingedenk,

Des Menschen wachsend Ich:

In dir, befreiend mich

Aus meiner Eigenheiten Fessel,

Ergründe ich mein echtes Wesen.

In English translation:

There speaks to the World-All,
Of Self forgetful
And of its Primal state one in thinking,
Man’s waxing “I”:
‘In you, freeing me
From my Selfhood’s chains,
I penetrate to my true Essence’.

The background: In the Northern Hemisphere, the spring is the time when
we change from an inner "self-consciousness" to outer "nature-consciousness".
Verse 1 (we always start at Easter) spoke of how the Sun and the Growth in
the outer world of Nature spoke to our senses and joined us to the Spirit
that calls forth this new life; verse 2 of how our thinking loses its separ
ated existence by joining with the senses, the plants springing forth and so
on. This week continues the theme of 'forgetting oneself': the first 4 lines
point to a distinction, so to speak, between self and Self, or the little ego
and the True Self: the true "I" within us now seeks to 'speak' to the
World-All, forgetful of the everyday 'self'. This means the Primal
Individuality we have within. In using these first 4 lines one should feel
these two 'selves' distinctly different, should feel this deep True Self is
now connecting with the World, forgetful of the everyday self.

In doing so, that true Primal Self 'speaks' the last 3 lines to the
World: one should recite these with the real feeling of speaking them to the
World-All. In you, freeing me from my selfhood's chains (meaning the little
'self'), I penetrate (dig down deep into) my True Essence (Being, Self---I
use 'essence' because the German word 'Wesen' is the source of it).
                                                    * * * * * * *

Below are some of the spiritual figures and events Steiner listed for this
week, along with the position of the Moon in the constellations each night.
Attached to this post is the zodiac image for Aries, although the Doctor said
the Sun enters the influence of Taurus on May 1st in our era. I will send
Taurus next week.

Sunday April 29th. Moon Cancer. The Virgin of Orleans frees Orleans 1429.

Monday April 30th. Moon Cancer. Seneca assassinated 65 A.D. Gauss (the
          mathematician) born 1777.

Tuesday May 1st. Moon Leo. Walpurgis. [Beltane]

Wednesday May 2nd. Moon Leo. Leonardo da Vinci died 1519. Novalis born 1772.

Thursday May 3rd. Moon Virgo. Empress Helena found the Cross of Christ in
        Jerusalem 326 A.D. May 4th. Monica, mother of Augustine dies 387 A.D.

Friday May 5th. Moon Virgo. Columbus discovers America 1492.

Saturday May 6th. Moon Libra. John, writer of the Gospel and the Apocalypse.

*******Dr. Starman

P.S. Here, courtesy of Franky on the 'anthroposophy' e-list, are the stage
lighting indications for performing the verse in eurythmy, with some added
comments.

The mantra in the original German:

Ich fĂŒhle Wesen meines Wesens:

Mit Lichtesfluten sich vereint;
Sie will dem Denken

forgetful of the everyday 'self': "In you, I penetrate to my True Essence".
This week's verse continues to speak of joining with the senses, in
particular with the Light increasing in the springtime: in uniting our senses
with it, now Sensation speaks back to us, 'I feel the Essense of my Essence'.
We find the essence of the inner self in the external Light. This adds warmth
to our thinking, so that our human spirit feels joined to the outer world.

the changing seasons, and Steiner gave out the 'Calendar of the Soul' to do

There was also a list of saints and other spiritual figures to meditate on
connected with specific days of the week, because the entrances and exits of
human spirits are also connected with the cosmos and Time.

We're presenting all of that here each week. This has not been done since
1912 and is available nowhere else, as far as I know. I have the original
'Calendar' in German and am translating it section by section, and I also
have the 12 Zodiac images done by Magaret Roessler (after Imma von
Eckherdstein's originals).

This week's mantra in the original German:

Im Lichte, das aus Geistestiefen

In Raume fruchtbar webend

Der Götter Schaffen offenbart:
In ihm erscheint der Seele Wesen

Geweitet zu dem Weltensein

Und auferstanden

Aus enger Selbstheit Innenmacht.

(In English):

In Light, that out of Spirit-Deeps
In Space weaves, bearing its fruit,
The Gods’ Shaping is revealed :
In it shines the Soul’s Essence
Widened to the World-Existence
And resurrected
Out of narrow Selfhood’s Inner Might.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the spring is when we change from an inner
"self-consciousness" to outer "nature-consciousness". Verse 1 (we always
start at Easter) spoke of how the Sun and Growth in Nature spoke to our
senses, joining us to the Spirit that called forth new life; verse 2, how our
thinking lost its separate existence by thus joining with what the senses
revealed; in week 3, the true "I" within us 'spoke' to the World-All,
forgetful of the everyday self "In you, I penetrate to my True Essence". In
last week's, Sensation spoke back to us, 'I feel the Essence of my Essence',
and this essence of the inner self felt in the external Light added warmth to
our thinking, so that our human spirit felt joined to the outer world. This
week's mantra continues to be a meditation on the Light weaving in outer
Space, bearing the fruit of new creation in the plant-world, and we are to
see in this the creating of the Gods; but also see that this same creative
power is the essence of our own Soul, as it cam be when freed from its narrow
focus within our single being and expanded into the whole world.

Franky (on the 'anthroposophy' list) posted the Stage lights for this verse
in eurythmy:
First part (1st 3 lines): YELLOW ABOVE, foot lights green.
Second part: BLUE AND RED ABOVE, foot lights yellow.
(The yellow above in the first half refers to the intense experience of
the Light outside in the external world and the green below its weaving in
the plant-world; the second half has the blue and red above and yellow has
come down, signifiying by colour the human soul expanded to the
world-widenesses, and that the same creative process in Sky above to start is
now seen within us below.)
                                                    * * * * * * *

Below are some of the spiritual figures and events Steiner listed for this
week, along with the position of the Moon in the constellations each night.
Attached to this post is the zodiac image for Taurus: the Doctor said the Sun

Sunday, May 13th. Moon Capricornus. Carl von Linne born 1707. Cuvier (the

Sorry to be late with this week's post.
The mantra for this week in German and English:

*   M A N T R A  #6 *

Es ist erstanden aus der Eigenheit

Mein Selbst und findet sich

Als Weltenoffenbarung

In Zeit- und Raumeskräften;

Die Welt, sie zeigt mir überall

My Self and finds itself

Sun and Growth in Nature spoke to our senses, joining us to the Spirit that
called forth new life; verse 2, how our thinking lost its separate existence
by thus joining with the senses; in week 3, the true "I" within us 'spoke' to
the World, forgetful of the 'everyday' self: "In you, I penetrate to my True
Essence"; in week 4, Sensation spoke back to us, 'I feel the Essence of my
Essence', and this inner essence felt in the Light added warmth to thinking,
joining the spirit to the outer world; and week 5's mantra continued the
meditation on Light weaving in outer Space bearing the fruit of new creation,
and in this creating of the Gods is the essence of our Soul, freed from our
single being and expanded into the whole world. This week's mantra continues
this experiencing of the Self apart from our everyday Egohood, and we find
this True Self reflected in the whole world around us, as the world shows us
an image of ourselves as we truly are.

The 52 mantras (for which Steiner later gave the eurythmy forms) are well
known to many anthroposophists, but the original Calendar in 1912 ALSO
contained 12 images of the zodiac (to be meditated on to sense the working of
the 'solar' forces in the cosmos in the day) and the Moon's position in the
constellations was listed for each night (for sensing the 'lunar' forces).

For those new to the 'Calendar': the cycle of the year can be a
meditation in itself, through which you can sense the Beings that are behind
the changing seasons, and Steiner gave out the 'Calendar of the Soul' to do
this. It's made up of 52 meditative mantras enabling one to consciously
experience the 'astral' (soul) events occurring within you as well as in
external Nature in the course of the year.

There was also a list of saints and other spiritual figures to meditate on
connected with specific days of the week, because the entrances and exits of
human spirits are also connected with the cosmos and Time. We're presenting
all that here each week. (This has not been done since 1912 and is available
nowhere else, as far as I know; I have the original 'Calendar' in German and
am translating it section by section, and 12 Zodiac images by Magaret
Roessler after von Eckherdstein's originals).

First, this week's meditative mantra in the original German and in
translation:

Mein selbst, es drohet zu entfliehen,
Vom Weltenlichte mÀchtig angezogen.
Nun trete du mein Ahnen
In deine Rechte kraftig ein
Ersetze mir des Denkens Macht
Das in der Sinne Schein
Sich selbst verlieren will.

My Self, it threatens to fly out
To World-Light mightily drawn.
Now enter you, my foreboding,
Into your rightful place forcefully,
Restore for me Thinking’s Might
That in the Senses’ Shine
Would lose itself.

    About this week's mantra:
Spring is when we change from an inner "self-consciousness" to outer
"nature-consciousness". Verse 1 (at Easter) spoke of how the Sun spoke to our
senses; verse 2, how thinking lost its separate existence by joining with it;
week 3, how the true "I" felt it penetrated to its Essence in the outer
world; week 4, how Sensation added warmth to thinking; week 5, how the Light
weaving in Space creating is the same essence as the Soul. Last week's mantra
pictured the experiencing of the True Self reflected in the whole world
around us, showing us an image of ourselves as we truly are (the macrocosm
and the microcosm). In all these, the inner self has been directed to the
outer world of the senses. This week, the Self being drawn into the senses
and the Light, could be drawn too much out: so a counter-force comes in, a
feeling of foreboding about the future, to keep thinking from losing itself
in the outer world. Self-consciousness is kept from being lost in the play
of the senses by this "ahnen" (sensing of the future, foreboding) rightfully
drawing thinking back to itself. This is the astral force we seek to
consciously work with now.

The Moon positions and phases for the week are listed below along with some
of the spiritual figures connected with the days. Attached to this post is
the JPEG image of the sign Taurus (the Doctor said the Sun is under its
influence till June 15th in our era.)

Sunday May 27th. Moon Cancer. Maria of Magdala. Dante born 1265. Calvin
died 1564.
Monday May 28th. Moon Leo. Wilhelm.
Tuesday May 29th. Moon Leo. First Quarter. Christiana.
Wednesday May 30th. Moon Virgo. The Maid of Orleans burnt 1431.
Thursday May 31st. Moon Virgo. Petronella.
Friday June 1st. Moon Virgo. Nicodemus.
Saturday June 2nd. Moon Libra. Erasmus.

Sorry to be late with this week's. Going to send on Saturdays from now on so
those who want to work with the mantras can have them on Sundays.*******

* M A N T R A  # 8 *
Es wÀchst der Sinne Macht
Im Bunde mit der Götter Schaffen,
Sie drĂŒckt des Denkens Kraft
Zur Traumes Dumpfheit mir herab.
Wenn göttlich Wesen
Sich meiner Seele einen will,
Muss menschlich Denken
Im Traumessein sich still bescheiden.

There waxes the Senses’ Might
In Union with the Gods’ Shaping,
It draws my Thinking’s Power
Down to Dream Dimness.
When godly Essence
With my soul would become one,
Must Man’s Thinking
Quietly humble itself to Dream-existence.

   About this week's mantra:
Spring is when we change from an inner "self-consciousness" to outer

the level of dream-consciousness by the power of the senses.

THIS WEEK'S SOUL-CALENDAR
Here's the Soul-Calendar for this 9th week after Easter; it has 52
meditative mantras that enable one to experience astral/soul events occurring
within and without in the course of the year. The verse is given in German
and English.

For those not familiar with the use of mantras:
Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge which begins with the use of the
logical mind, which is then intensified by the use of visual images called
"Imaginations" and reciting mantras which draws in "Inspirations." The
meaning of the words of a mantra at first sight is not the essential thing,
but rather the repetitive recitation of it and entering with deeper
soul-forces into the inner experience of what is described. Also, the
mantras were created in the German language and have their rhythms in that,
so learning an English version is just a first step to using the mantram in
the original. (Chanting "the jewel in the lotus" is different from "Om mani
padme hum," for example.) Steiner spoke of how German had preserved words
lost by other languages, and could be for us what Sanskrit was in olden
times: the language in which spirit-truths are expressed. So in translating,
I've tried to keep close to the original, so that one can easily go from
English to German.

*  M A N T R A  # 9 *
Vergessend meine Willenseigenheit
Erfüllet Weltenwärme sommerkündend
Mir Geist und Seelenwesen;
Im Lichte mich zu verlieren
Gebietet mir das Geisteschauen,
Und kraftvoll kündet Ahnung mir:
Verieren dich, und dich zu finden.

Forgetting my Egohood's Will,
The World-Warmth, heralding Summer,
Fills my Spirit and Soul-Essence;
To lose myself in the Light,
The Spirit-Vision commands me,
And powerfully prophesies to me:
Lose yourself, and yourself you'll find.

This is the first verse of the year to speak of losing oneself in the light
and warmth of approaching summer.

  * T H E   W E E K   S P I R I T U A L L Y *

In addition to the mantrams, the anthroposophical Soul-Calendar
originally contained 12 drawings of the zodiac to be meditated on to sense
the working of the solar forces in the cosmos in the day, and the Moon's
position in the constellations was given for each night, to sense the lunar
forces. The Sun, according to the Doctor, is under the influence of Taurus
until June 15th and then Gemini from June 16th to July 20th (in our era). A
symbolic image of Taurus executed from sketches & indications by the Doctor
is attached to this post. The Moon positions and phases are listed below for
each night, along with some of the birth & death days of famous persons
published in the first 'Seelencalendar': their lives and contributions are
fruitful material for contemplation on their days. I'm translating these to
restore the Calendar to its intended use with the full spiritual/solar/lunar
connections.

Sunday June 10th. Moon Aquarius. Onophrius.
Monday June 11th. Moon Aquarius. Last Quarter. Alexander the Great died 323
B.C. Roger Bacon died 1294.
Tuesday June 12th. Moon Pisces. Basilides.
Wednesday June 13th. Moon Pisces. Alfred.
Thursday June 14th. Moon Pisces. Basilius.
Friday June 15th. Moon Aries. Vitus.
Saturday June 16th. Moon Aries. Sun enters influence of GEMINI. Aurelius.

And by the way, I uploaded the image of Taurus onto the web site for the group
(finally figured out how to!) It said it would automatically send a message to
everyone that a new file had been placed there, but I never saw one sent out.

Zu sommerlichen Höhen
Erhebt der Sonne leuchtend Wesen sich;
Es nimmt mein menschlich FĂŒhlen
In seine Raumesweiten mit.
Erahnend regt im Innern sich
Empfindung, dumpf mir kĂŒndend,
Erkennen wirst du einst:
Dich fĂŒhle jetzt ein Gotteswesen.

To summer-like Heights
Rises the Sun’s Light-filled Essence;
It draws my human Feeling
Into the widths of Space with it.
There anxiously stirs in my Inner self
Sensation, dimly prophesying to me
'You will realize one day:
You feel now a God’s Essence'.

   About this week's mantra:
Spring is when we change from an inner "self-consciousness" to outer
"nature-consciousness". In all the spring verses, the inner self was
directed to the outer world of the senses. Last week the first theme of
'losing oneself in the light and warmth of summer' began. This week's mantra
continues this, as the Sun's power draws us out into the external world in
preparation for a connection forming with the Divine, the event of this
Sunday (St. John's Day), the highest point of the Sun.

Tuesday June 19th. Moon Taurus. Council of Nicea 325 A.D.
Wednesday June 20th. Moon Gemini. Silverius.

Friday June 22nd. Moon Cancer. Wilhelm von Humboldt born 1767.
Saturday June 23rd. Moon Cancer. Colombus born 1456.

Es ist in dieser Sonnenstunde
An dir, die weise Kunde zu enkennen;
An Weltenschönheit hingegeben,
In dir dich fĂŒhlend zu durchleben:
Verlieren kann das Menschen-Ich
Und finden sich im Welten-Ich.

It is in this sun-hour
For you, the wise prophecy to know;
To World-Beauty given over,
In you your feeling to live through:
Man's I can lose itself
And find itself in the World-I.

   About this week's mantra:
Two weeks ago the first Summer theme of 'losing oneself in the light and
warmth' began. This week's mantra continues this: the Sun's power gives us a
presentiment of what is to come, a connection with the Divine formed by a
losing of oneself, the event of the highest point of the Sun in the St.
