The purpose of this group is to support those quilters who wish to cut down on spending for one year, and reduce their stashes. The year started on November 1, 2010, and ends Nov. 1, 2011. Communication is encouraged about projects finished, scrap quilt patterns, stash used up, and the avoidance of spending. The group, with the same mission, will start over again on Nov. 1, 2011. You can join and start "not buying" anytime during the year, as you pretty much set your own rules in this group. We are all enthused to hear about your quilting goals and accomplishments during the year.

The cover quilt, by Christy Schreck, Emporia, Kansas, was made for a new great-great nephew born in January, about 7 weeks early. He spent 3 weeks in the NICU, but is home now and doing well. His Dad and family are big into almost any kind of motorsports, so this was a perfect pattern. Made primarily from scraps/stash. The back is "Hot Wheels" flannel purchased at Walmart.
