All levels of fans and critics are welcomed aboard! This big ship is devoted to the study and appreciation of Irwin Allen's and Ronald Neame's thrilling disaster classic, THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1972), including the two remakes, and theater productions (L.A., Chicago, Seattle). The Special Edition DVD with collectible lobby cards (smaller than the originals but cute as a dickens) of our film is now available. DVDs of the new "Poseidon" and the old "Beyond the Poseidon Adventure" have been released as well.
The website for "Poseidon" 2006 is here (see our links section). It includes posters in different languages, flash art, phone and wallpaper downloads, photos, and journals (which contain spoilers).
Also, check out the fun online game to capsize an ocean liner at www.shipshake.com.
Info, chat and trivia on other disaster films, new TV shows, and films.
May 6, 2007 (a Hindenburgh anniversary) was the 7th and final Jak Castro-sanctioned Fan Club reunion, held at the Warner Grand Theater. His elaborate website is presently no longer online. Fan club membership is on hold for the time being, but be patient as they say: "We have to take passengers in rotation," LOL.
Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Red Buttons, Carol Lynley, Roddy McDowall, Stella Stevens, Shelley Winters. Jack Albertson, Pamela Sue Martin, Arthur O'Connell, Eric Shea and Leslie Nielsen as the Captain. (And let's not forget the likes of Fred Sadoff, John Williams, and Ernie Orsatti.)
The tagline is "Who will survive THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE?" Welcome aboard a fine floating archive and forum for this blockbuster hit!
