Description

Disability SSA is an active moderated E-Group for those applying for or receiving Social Security Benefits, including SSD and SSI. Post your questions related to the subjects of Disability and Social Security. This includes applications, appeals, reviews, Medicare, Medicaid, and direct supplemental programs providing aid to the disabled. Other topics should be moved to another group.

The moderators of this group have a good knowledge of their own experiences relating to disability benefits. The moderators ensure that we have a safe and comfortable place to discuss benefit issues. Do not argue with the advice that you receive. You don't have to agree with it, but do not confuse others with personal frustration and argument. Debating the trivial is a lose-lose situation.

If you are looking for support regarding disability issues other than those about benefits, go to our sister group by clicking here DisabilitySupport

This group and our sister group are No SPAM, No Flaming, No Debating Groups. Please respect others by not arguing with the experiences of those who offer advice freely. If you disagree with someone then contact them off list. Or you can take the argument to this other board Debate and Argument

This is NOT a message board for social research, or professionals with an agenda. This group is about sharing experiences with disability benefits. Government programs can be difficult to understand, especially for those in need. Please do not make issues more complicated. Concentrate on the body of advice given and ignore the trivial issues. This is all supplemental advice.

Visit the Social Security website or contact your local office for issues that you find confusing. Experiences may vary. There is no logical way to debate someone's experience.
