Sr. Marie De Mandat-Grancey, Daughter of Charity, 1837-1915, is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church as Foundress of Mary's House in Ephesus, Turkey. Mary's House is a blessed, holy pilgrimage destination for Christians, Muslims, and Orthodox who gather there to peacefully pray side by side as they honor Mary, Mother of Jesus...and all this in the home of a Jewish Mother! Thanks to Sr. Marie, many children of God of various faiths and cultures join together to honor Mary under a particularly precious and timely title: Mother of Holy Hope. In these uncertain times of inter-religious conflict, hope and prayers for peace could not be more crucial. Sr. Marie leads the prayer! Let us together thank God for Sr. Marie and help her in her mission for peace in these times.
