Chances are the volume of air passing around the piston from the secondary to the primary chamber is not high enough to get an initial seal against the breech....
I email you. Anyway, Initally I get a great seal because I can get the 100 PSI in the secondary chamber quickly and the it starts to leak and the PSI drops...
Honestly, you don't need those O rings. If the seal between the 3" reducer and the 4" pipe is even close, it'll be fine. The piston has an unbelievable...
Note: mine has a rather large bedcoil spring pushing the piston toward the barrel to compensate for a low-volume campbell-hausfield pump :/ ... has ... between...
Howdy all, i've been absent for quite some time now, but am back for a while anyways, on a crappy free email account, haven't had any time to work on any spud...
I bought a 4" 10 foot SHD 40 pvc pipe to use as my chamber, that I cut down to 6 foot because I will have to transport this cannon in the rear cargo area of my...
i just built my first air cannon and it doesn't work well. Here is the problem, when i fill my chamber(2in x 44in) and hit the switch it won't fire, but when i...
Make sure the bleed screw is fully closed, and if you have a flow control knob, make sure that's fully open. Beyond that, not sure otherwise; what's the exact...
Also.....What are you using to power it? If you are using 9v batteries that have been used before, it is possible, with the rainbird valves, that they will...
I have a problem. I checked my cannon for leaks and found that my secodary chamber leaks because the treaded 4" endcap leaks. I am using GE Silicone II sealer...

Take 400 grit sandpaper and sand the sharp edges off both the male and female threads on the plug and the Tee. This will enable you to get an extra 1-2 turns...
So I should not use any sealer, just graphite powder? How much should I screw it together? Handtight, or use a wrench. Past where the threads end, How far? ...
You didn't say what your plug is made out of. Is it PVC, ABS or brass? For QEV designs I use a PVC Sch 80 plug, which has a full size hex head. For combustion...

A standard golf ball, according to the USGA, is 1.680" in diameter. It doesn't fit all that way in a 2" sch40 barrel since it's like 2.049" -- well this is...

I have a combustion spudgun, with a barbeque ignitor. It worked just fine (only a few clicks to fire), until recently, when the wire busted connecting my two...
I have a few pointers: 1) Wire the batteries in series, so they will add up to 12 volts. Wired in parallel, you'll only have 6 volts, with twice the current...
