I couldn't sleep so I experienced my first earthquake while awake.
It was a weird thing. Beforehand I noticed that the wildlife outside
was quite loud. Perhaps that's just a spring thing.
I could feel the house shake and the walls were rattling.
It took awhile to confirm the earthquake. My only other earthquake
experience was riding the Earthquake ride at Universal Orlando, so I
really wanted to know if this really was an earthquake.
Flipped around the cable channels. Nothing about it on the channel 17
weather report channel, or on CNN, CNNHN, channel 2, 3...
Then the 5am WICS news came on and they confirmed that it was indeed
an earthquake.
There's nothing at http://www.sj-r.com as I type this.
Any moment now there should be.
