A free calendar of Events of Interest for Homeschool Families in and around Shreveport, Louisiana.

Some are events that we have heard about from other sources and are posting here FYI. If we missed something, please post or let us know.

Some of these will be tours or field trips that we set up and you are invited to join us. Just check the calendar and use the message board or database for sign up.
All homeschoolers in the area are welcome to join us for any event applicable to your family, you need not be a 'member' of this message board.
If you have an idea or know of a tour, fieldtrip or activity that is open to all homeschoolers please post it here.

Please read the description on the Calendar and sign up according to the instructions.
Any mention of age or group limits or other requirements are specifically from the activity destination.
If they request "no one under age 6" or "group maximum of 25" or "no strollers", then we need to follow their requests so that we will be allowed to visit them again.

Of course all activities will begin on time. Please help all of us show respect to those groups or individuals conducting the tour by not arriving late.

We do not want to get a reputation of "Oh, Those homeschoolers" and become unwelcome in places with our children :)
These events will be open to ALL Homeschoolers. Please remember that anywhere we go we are Ambassadors for Homeschooling and want to present homeschooling in the best possible light.
