Spool knitting is a delight that many of us remember from childhood. But! There is unlimited creative potential in spool knitting. Spoolknitting is any form of looping yarns over pegs, so cordmakers and round looms are also part of spoolknitting. You can call it French knitting, spooling, corking, horsetails, whatever, just join in and have a wonderful time! List Mom, Noreen Crone-Findlay, has written books about spoolknitting and has a blog about the joys of spoolknitting, so she will share her love of spoolknitting with the list. She'll post designs and patterns, as well as photos of the amazing one of a kind spoolknitters she and her husband, Jim, design and make. Please feel free to join in with your spoolknitting projects, ideas, comments, suggestions, thoughts and whatever else that strikes your fancy about spoolknitting! Joy!
Hello everyone!
My name is Marian Clark and I am from Australia. Dear Noreen has asked me to take over while she is so busy and is allowing me practically free rein with her Spool Knitter Group. I have some new ideas which I hope you will love. They will be introduced over time, and I would love to hear from you about what you would love to see within the group. Please do post photos of your spool knitting projects - we love to see your ideas using the spool knitter. Do you also collect spool knitters? Some of you may know me already as the crazy spool knitter lady - I will put links to where you can also find me. There will be additions to Files, Links, and the Database coming up so please check there often. There will be competitions with members being able to vote on their favourite and the winner will receive a gift. So do please join in and have a wonderful time!
About the Photo - Here is the prize for the winner of the Christmas Spool Knitted Decoration Competition '09.
