SPIRE is the Spiritual Philosophers' Independent Religious Entity, a new insight which surpasses and transcends the limitations of philosophy and belief. Looking for the Answers? You won't find them here, for if the answer were simple, everyone would know it by now. Existence is paradox; truth is opposition. Zero equals one, two equals infinity; the first equation created the world that is, the second creates all the worlds that could be. The power of the Divine exists in all things, yet neither binds nor dominates them. We human beings, gifted with the power of thought and imagination, create an infinite diversity of worlds around ourselves, forever drawn between the need to define ourselves individually and the need to connect to one another as a community.
My name is Will Pell, of Minneapolis, MN, USA; in this year of 2008, I am 3^3 years old. I am an art lover, armchair philosopher, the son of a witch, an SF fan, amateur writer, RP gamer, computer and internet hobbyist, and general all-around dreamer. SPIRE is in large part a chronicle of my own search for enlightenment, kept in the hopes that it will help motivate others to pursue their own awakenings. If you'll pardon the pun, my greatest desire is to "inspire" others, even if they do not follow my beliefs. Indeed, SPIRE isn't really a religion that expects anyone to follow it or believe in it. I'm not seeking converts, but contributors; I intend not to offer answers, but to ask intelligent questions and encourage others to do the same.
Spire is a humanistic, agnostic, pantheistic belief system which evolves constantly and teaches that there are no absolute truths, only reasonable assumptions. Reality consists of infinite of layers, one inside another, in which we travel up from the core of absolute truth into the infinite possibilities of the outer worlds, seeking the existence which we define as perfect. At least, that's what I think it is for now. If you have a better idea, feel free to share.
