Description
This group is for the posting of sample letters to the press, suggestions for letters, letters that have already been published elsewhere, and with a view to promoting the case for world socialism.
Members may also post here useful information (facts, figures, quotes) or any other information, i.e. web links, they feel will assist others in producing topical and relevant articles.
If you feel that a longer article that has been produced elsewhere by socialists could be shortened to a few hundred words and is worthy of sending to the press, please post it. Again, if you feel there is a letter/article in a newspaper begging for a socialist reply, post it here (simply cut and paste it into your email to the group if it exists on the www).
There are literally thousands of newspapers and magazines in circulation in the UK. All that is preventing us promoting our case in the vast majority of them is our determination to do so.
Remember: “Private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information. It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.” Albert Einstein.
