This discussion group is open to all PTA Special Education Representatives serving local PTA units in Fairfax County. Parents of any child who receives special education services in FCPS are also welcome to join the committee and this discussion group. Together we constitute the Fairfax County Council of PTAs (FCCPTA) Special Education Committee. For more information, see the special education section of the FCCPTA website: www.fccpta.org.

Here we conduct the business of the FCCPTA Special Education Committee, sharing ideas on how to best serve students and parents within our local school communities and discussing special education issues which affect FCPS. We also use this group to send out information on workshops, legislative updates and other announcements of interest to the parents.

If you would like to join this discussion group, please send a request to the moderator at specialedchair@fccpta.org and indicate whether or not you live in Fairfax County and have a child who has or is suspected of having a disability. PTA membership is not required, but encouraged.
