"This is Earth, the year 2100." An extraordinary sci-fi puppet show, set 98 years from now, was created and produced in the UK in 1962. Called "Space Patrol" everywhere but the US (where it was titled "Planet Patrol"), it captivated children then, and those who remember it will be rapt to know that it is still just as enthralling now. So let's celebrate Roberta Leigh's marvellous television creation, and get reacquainted with the crew of Galasphere 347 - Captain Dart, Husky and Slim - as well as the Gabbler bird, Professor Haggerty, Marla and Colonel Raeburn!
