This site serves as a virtual gathering place where Southwick residents can share and discuss issues and information affecting our town with the goal of having a positive impact on our growing community. In addition to providing a forum for sharing information, the site provides a calendar of events, useful links and documents, polls, and searchable archives of messages. All residents who join are encouraged to participate, making use of all of these features. Information sharing amongst this large group of residents is very beneficial as it provides an easy way for everyone to stay informed.

We all have busy schedules. As membership grows, even if only a few people attend events or (non-voting) meetings, they can report back to the entire group by sending a single email. That one email can spur discussion among many other residents and we all benefit by becoming more educated citizens. As residents, we want to stay informed and this site is helping us to do that. If you are informed about the issues facing your town, you are much more likely to attend town meetings, participate, and vote. That little card that comes in your mail prior to a town meeting starts to mean alot more when your fellow residents have already been discussing the warrants for a week or two beforehand.
