Description
The history of the Sourashtra community in South India has been obscure for various reasons. The Sourashtrians have maintained a unique culture but today it needs to be made aware among Sourashtrians ourselves. For, it is only by understanding our history, appreciating and preserving our cultural heritage we could remain as a community with an identity.
The Sourashtra language itself is unique by the various cultural influences it has had an impact with and a study of it by itself would be enriching to one’s cultural senses. Let us exchange ideas about our history, our language, our cultural expressions in their spoken and written forms, and also the other cultural manifestations in the forms of religion, music, festivals etc. through this e-group listing.
