This group is dedicated to the research and promotion of the Sorbie family name. It will be a way in which Sorbies and their descendants can keep in touch and exchange family and genealogical information.

Nearly all Sorbie family members originate from Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, Scotland, but have spread far and wide across the globe. This e-group gives us the opportunity to establish and maintain links with family members still living in the Lanarkshire area and promote a 'network' throughout the world. A website has also been produced: www.sorbie.net which provides comprehensive information on the family name and living descendants.
